Best rs year

2006, because it was the year rs became really fun for me.

was part of a small but friendly irc channel on ******** called #idiots, great time spent with them.

theres also that durial thing.

my old main kill3rz getting banned, most memorable thing is that i got 75 con within 6 days of it released which was kind of a big deal back then, with oak planks costing me 1k each. also the fun-filled house parties with my 12-room dungeon.

my current main created after my old main's ban on the second day of hunter release. its awesome because it was really fun getting 90 combat in a week or two, and having everyone say "hey hunters just got released did u make it after it? how did u lvl up so fast?" big e-penis pride then.

joined a clan called Demolition, probably the second-best clan i was ever in. (best one being rune raiders) i met many friends who are really great to me, such as one of them who gave me a rune set and food supplies for my new main after getting banned. fastforward 2008, half of them lost contact, the other half are currently in top-5 clans such as eos and df. and when said friend died losing over 70m gear and quitting rs afterwards, it really hurt me inside having lost a friend that meant a lot to me. like **** i shouldve asked for his msn.

and finally if i can remember anything anymore, 2006 was the year i really got into staking. from 100k dds stakes, to 500k dds stakes, to 1m mage boxing stakes, to 5m mage boxing stakes, oh man it was so much more fun back then.

and no, sadly i didnt pk back then. would've been fun too but the first time i stepped into p2p pvp is in 2008.

Probably 2005, cause that's the year I joined. :roll:

I can't think of one year specifically. It's been getting worse lately, in my opinion, but I think Jagex has done a pretty good job throughout the years since I've been playing. =D>

I actually think the best year throughout the years I've been playing (2004+) has been 2009. All the new game updates and especially the new game engine has drawn me in (again). After playing on and off a bit for two years I quit because the gameplay became dull. A few months after that I had many attempts to come back, but after a week or so the monotonous gameplay deterred me. At the moment I've been playing continuously (couple days, 10-14 hours/week) for a few months and I'm still interested.

2005 because that is when I started playing and befriended the people who were my best friends in RS until they died. Also because of the ignorance of being a noob.

Or maybe I like 2006 better. Now RS is just "omg what is next 99 need next 99 only 150 more hours of playing until 99!" or "need all skills 80" and sometimes "need 500000M for this item"; although, I do not make money for items that often.

Oh boy, it's hard to say for my personal best year. Probably 2001 because that was when I had tons of friends in real life who all played. That was a lot of fun.

I think the best year for RuneScape itself was the year that it switched to "RuneScape 2". I have no idea what year that was anymore.
