i think they said so last year in august i think...a transportation skill would be interesting, with walking, running, sprinting, swimming, animal/familiar/pet riding(imagine have 99 summoning and using your dragon to fly around...)

Does any1 know what it is or when it's coming out I'm diyin of the suspense and if it doesn't come out asap I won be able to try it cause of school...

I wouldn't say anytime in jan. That's just a guess though. If I remeber right, summoning came out in the last week
of Jan.
When do you go back to school? I go back Monday. And there's no chance i'll be out by then. :p

I have no clue what it could be. Maybe some kind of Music skill but other than that, what else. It's going to be f2p, so it has to have a fair amount of content in the f2p area, but there also has to be a fair amount of p2p stuff. So I am stumped on what the new skill is going to be, but hopefully this month, or beginning on next I hope the new skill will come out.

But, it can't be archeology seeing the "Kudos Island" ship is P2P.

Wish Jagex would say if it's a combat skill or not.

I sort of doubt it will be another combat skill (I'm counting Summoning as a combat skill). What would that be. There isn't really anything to add to combat in my eyes.

I think it will :/ Paul had a good point being it'd help stableize the economy. There's no way jagex would put in another gathering skill to produce more money. Atleast, I wouldn't think so.

And I'm hoping for a hint as well, I'm dying to know! And how do you know it won't start with a "B"?

We know it's going to be this year, but when exactly. I reckon the new skill will be release just before or during on of the major school holidays: Summer or Easter. Since it's been quite a while since Summoning was released, I think Easter is more likely, or just before- possible March.

With regard to Sailing first. I think sailing has the potential to be a skill, but Jagex have denied it countless times, both on forums and in-game, so I'd be extremely suprised if the new skill were Sailing (or similar).

As much as I'd like the new skill to not be money-based (that is, you can't buy your way to 99), I think Jagex will want to be releasing a money sink, much like Construction was, and to a lesser extent, Summoning. I'd like to see a skill similar to Slayer in that vast amounts of money to spend on it really won't help you all that much.

Good point, however do you really think they'd be putting so much hype into this if its still a number of months out?
