Having started a new account I can't say I'm impressed with how difficult it is to train combat nowadays. I recall back in the day you'd do slayer and eight out of ten times you'll be on your own doing the task. Now it seems I can't go anywhere without having my target bombarded by autocombat bots who want the, i dunno, 80xp from the monster I'm already attacking?

Mining is awful, I can't say I particularly enjoy the skill and I never have but it's a somewhat crucial skill for dungeoneering as far as I can see.

Truly, the only things that bots aren't dominating are the skills that aren't marred by lots of people being in the area. I.e. Farming, Smithing, Runecrafting. But even then, have the bots not affected the prices and thus the profits that you'd depend on while training such skills? :/

Hate them, wish we could hang the coders, users, and inventors in the trees or via gallows like the olden times.

....We're gonna need a lotta rope.

They destroy Runescape. I was so frustrated after working 11 months for 99 Runecrafting and coming out with less than half of the profits that I had calculated at the beginning (Crashed Nature prices = fault of bots).

I hate it when people get so overenthusiastic about being against botting. It definitely looks like you're trying too hard to be white, or not look like a bot. It's like those people who got a macroing major offense and pretend they didn't bot, seriously?

Bots will always be part of RS, just get over it. Part of me is annoyed that skilling isn't as profitable, but they still haven't ruined flipping. Yet. Part of the problem is JaGEx's uncertain stance against them, one minute they're against, next minute they're only rollbacking.

Anyway, I don't care. I play the game for myself, so if the guy next to me is a bot, whatever.

Bots suck. Not much else to say. xD

Bots are cheap, they ruin the economy, and hence ruin the game. Wish they could just IP ban people who bought or block off an entire country. Like, say for example it was people from China mostly botting, then they should block all IPs from China. Then we nuke the country and the problem is solved. :P

Na, but seriously, I'd like to see IP bans for botting or Jagex taking way more action to handle the problem.

IP banning doesn't really do anything. The only person RSBANDB has IP banned that had any lasting effect on was Total Plox who has the IP he was banned on to this day ahhaha.

But be careful what you ask in terms of banning the country with the most bots or something. Because if the majority of players bot their accounts now, as everyone associates, it could easily be the US. I think China would be more sweat shopped gold farmers. Kind of funny since we all love our sweat shopped merchandise IRL but bring it into RS and there's an out cry.

Either one is wrong. As for China, sweat shops are awful. The difference with Runescape is that Jagex could probably control it. To stop sweat shops in China as a whole would be a monumental and most likely impossible task.

Doesn't set a very good example to new players does it? The first thing you want to see when you get into Lumbridge is the talk of people not Adbots spamming Goldsites over and over.
