Grand Exchange Database?

anybody notice they nuke'd the most valuable items and most traded items categories on the main page of the database?

I for one used those two categories to avoid using the painfully low-tech search engine attached to the database, especially since a majority of the things i used it for was checking price changes on, you guessed it, high value items and frequently traded items.

If this was totally obvious and a listed update and i'm just an ignorant fool, please delete this topic. if not, was this really a necessary update? seems like a leap backwards to me.

ED: they also removed the "average price" lines for 5 and 30 day periods. they did add a 180 day chart, but no average price line for that either.

yeah it is annoying that they got read of those charts, they were an interesting read.

I actually used those charts daily for looking at my stuff like the Dragonfire shield and the dragon plate. Kind of mad they removed em becuase I liked to look at just one page rather than having to type in each individual item

Jagex stated on the RS Official Forums that they were removed because they were "hardly ever used." Yeah right. Jagex wants to hide the fact that the prices are going up so much.

If jagex wanted to hide that, I'd doubt they'd bump the history of the item to 180 days.

I think if anything they should have added MORE categories, such as greatest rise/fall by actual gold amount. % amount always puts stuff like "bucket: rise 1 gold, 50% rise" at the top, which is of no use to anyone. -_-

Yeah, I've notice this. I don't really use the database much anymore. I liked the most traded items list. I liked to see which items were selling the most and by how much. Mid, Med , Max.... It helped with fletching.
Not sure how much other runescapers liked it but maybe they will start a rant on the forums to have them added back in.
I would but I'm just to lazy.

I think that they only took them away to make it more hard for the stupid merching clans...

How does taking away that list make it harder for merchant clans? That makes no sense.

This does disappoint me, but it's not like anything was changing drastically in the other charts that often. I do like the longer graphs now, though. So not a total loss in my opinion.

I heard that it's supposed to hinder item manipulation by making it harder to read the ups and downs of an item.

I agree with totojimbob it was interesting but annoying and kinda a hassle to read.
