Items suggested: Teleport runes (if you didn't bring the supplies needed)

To Start: Talk to the professor in the observatory south of West Ardougne.

Walk-through:

1. Begin by talking to the professor.

He will interrupt you and give quite the nice introduction. Keep on talking to him, and when you have the option os saying three different things, ask the question "An observatory" and he will explain things. While talking to him his assistant will interrupt and tell you that the telescope is broken. Both the assistant and professor will then ask you to help them.

2. After you accept to help them fix the telescope, the professor tells you that he will need three things to fix it, which are: 3 wood planks (tripod), one bronze bar (tube), and one molten glass (lens). The planks can either be made by the sawmill operator, or found near the Barbarian Outpost. The bronze bar can either be bought from other players, the Grand Exchange, or made by using copper and tin ore on a furnace. For the molten glass you will need one buck of sand, soda ash (which is obtained by burning seaweed on a fire) and using the two on a furnace.

3. After you have all the supplies head back to the professor and talk to him again. He will take the supplies individually, starting with the three planks, then the bronze bar, and finally the molten glass.

After he takes the molten glass he will mention that the lens for the telecope needs to be made, and that their mould has been taken by the goblins. He tells you to talk to his assistant to find out where you should look for the mould, who tells you that you should look in the dungeon under their village.

4. The village the assistant is talking about is just to the east of the observatory, just on the other side of the valley wall. The house on the east of the village has a et of stairs that you will need to climb down.

Once in the dungeon head down the southeast tunnel until you reach the end.

There will be a chest at the end of that tunnel, in which you will find a key.

Once you have the key head back towards the entrance to the dungeon. Once back at the entrance, follow the path to the north, following the same path west until you reach the sleeping goblin guard. You will need to prod the guard, who will then attack you (Level 42 Goblin).

After you have defeated the goblin head into the kitchen and inspect the stove and you will recieve the lens mould, which was in some stew. After you have the mould head back to the professor.

5. Talk to the professor again and tell him that you have the mould. He will ask for it but before you can give it to him his assistant asks you not to give the mould to the professor due to an explosion that was caused by the professor the last time he tried to craft something.

The professor will say that you should make the lens and will give you the molten glass. Use the molten glass on the mould and then talk to the professor again.

6. The professor will take both the mould and the lens and tell you he is heading to the observatory dome to fix the telescope and asks you to come with him. Head towards the dome which is just to the south. To get there you will need to return to the goblin village and head back into the tunnels, follow the nothern path again and keep following it until you reach stairs that will take you up into the observatory dome.

7. There will be a cinematic when you enter the dome showing the professor fixing the telescope. Once the cinematic is over head up the stairs and talk to the professor once more. He will tell you to look through the telescope and tell him what you see.

Once you know what constellation you saw talk to the professor again and tell him what you saw. You've now finished the quest.

Reward: Two quest points, 2,250 Crafting Experiecne, and a payment that depends on the constellation you observed.

You might want to add a pic of the tunnel and where the chests are so people can naviate their way throughout the tunnel. Also you can add the there is a super anti posion above ground and that you can get the chart from the observatory professer when you have a clue scroll that need one of those. Other than those suggestions it is a good guide.
