hi, i posted here bout a few months ago bout some agility needs, but im f2p again and i need help wit ranging (which is at a nooby lvl 23) anyway, i have a willow shortbow and all the normal armor for lvl 20 ranger which is studded stuff and coif and an accuracy ammy

i have around 700 iron arrows and would like to know where to train until lvl 40

I would train on barbarians (when not crowded) then try lvl 20-something skeletons or the odd assortment of beasts in the varrock sewers or edgeville dungeon.

Cows surprisingly enough are good at that range level. Or was in rsc..dunno about now.

Also when you get leveld up more,
there's a nice little spot with guards on *top*
of the Varrock Castle. There's a fence and you
can rnage them up there. I'd say get about 35 before you
do go up there though, that way you have the
maple shortbow (I think?). Also try to get ahold of some
steel arrows when you hit 40 ranging. I use steel to train myself.

I ranged cows till i was level 40 in f2p lol. I took the hides then tanned and crafted them for craftigng xp. Ran to lumbi sold them and back too the cows again. So i'd say they are pretty good xp

I find Rock Crabs efficent! I used... Cows, and Barbs when I was 1-40... Now, I use Rock Crabs to train. 200 exp!!!

in barb village in the bar theres theres " gunthor the brave " ( level 29 ) that spawns there and you can range him from behind the table and after you kill him you can get your stuff back and he is good for training I got mage up that way for like 1-40 and for my ranging pure I got him up to like 50 going there so yea i would train with barbs

You don't need to start d slayer to do that, they are also in varrock sewers, you can ranged from behind the fence.

I trained from 35-38 on werewolves :P but you're f2p,try white knights on the second floor of the castle (i trained there 38-40 and theyre good exp)

i trained at monestary(upstairs) from 1-40. skeletons in varrock sewer from 40-50. lessers at kramja from 50-52. 52-70(members) ogre city cave greaters. and from 70-73 i just got exp from killing blue dragons

You did not indicate what your combat level is, but if it is 40+ go train on the dark wizards at the henge. Good training xp and rune drops.
