I'm still trying to figure out how Pirate,
of all people, got banned. He wouldn't
tell me in private, it was a personal matter.
I didn't bug him about it anymore.

But what kills me is how some of those people
with the "Don't ban Pirate, ban me instead" actually
got banned. Or so I thought, maybe she just
removed that sig from everyone's account.
Or perhaps they were banned simply because
they made a big rant about it, about the "rules".
Ah well...

According to the new rules - EVERYONE who had the don't ban pirate sig should now be banned. Honestly when you have to ban 50 odd people do you not start thinking "wait a minute..maybe we should listen to are community" do they honestly think 50 people just kick up a fuss over nothing? R k o norton - Another member that got there ban hushed up for unknown reasons.

You know what's funny? He's not banned any more. On a whim, I decided to go through the names of all the people that were in the member group "banned." Pingu's name wasn't in there, and I was like "WTF???" So, I looked his name up separately, and lo and behold he was listed as a member again.

Odd they must of allowed him to come back. When i was speaking to billybagz he told me he had been banned. Another thing that crosses my mind...billybagz, smexy, alex all got de-modded for three days. Now this is just a hunch of mine BUT the day they got demodded smexy was...doing stuff in the chat room i disagreed with. Billy and alex both did nothing about it now i did not complain but other people in there was not happy ether..so one of them may of complained and my name may of come up. The next day those three mods get de-modded temp. Now alex got a mod removed permanently and within a week he had 3 officials.. coincidence eh? Those three get demodded temp and i start getting my posts picked on for silly little reasons and mods ignore me..another coincidence? Could be. I don't want to jump to conclusions and I'm more then likely wrong on this one but i really wouldn't be surprised if that was partly why.

i think runehq is really goin down. now u have to wait about three hours for your topic to actually appear because they like to keep a "friendly atmosphere" but im never on by the time anyone has posted because all the posts need even longer to check i just get plain bored

^^^ Lol oh yes i forgot. They have to CHECK every thread and post (i think) made in the clans section before you are even allowed to post as they want a nice place. Bit to extreme but as i never posted there it never really affected me.

for the temp demodding thing, from what I picked up, they all had to do a test (again) and the ones who failed were temporarily demodded.

Smexy is always doing weird stuff in the chat room

The rules there are inforced with no situational awareness, they dont think, oh wait, he's having a joke. Its immediately DELETE DELETE BAN WARN DELETE ARRRGH.

I made a VERY long rant about Runehq, on their forums after getting an official warning, it was never validated (i have 3 day post moderation at the time). I disputed lazy moderation of my posts. I argued with ALL the mods that warned me because I know the rules better than them. I know how to apply the rules better than them. If moderators enforce a different set of rules than the ones I am shown then I wouldn' be suprised. It frustrates me to see such careless behavior, banning valueable an popular members. They value new people over existing members? 'Brand new customers only' If that is the case, then they will have a VERY high member turnover, with people comeing then leaving.

If I had made my rant a week later, I would have been banned, no question about it. Instead I recieved a friendl *ahem* message from an owner reprimanding me.

The leaders of runeHQ need a discussion about what they actually want their site to be, a ghost town? or a respected and respectful community.

Yup. I joined april 18 2005. and i was a mod not long after.. alot of people had a problem with that.. Prolly because they had been on here for awhile and never made a mod.. It doesnt so much matter how long i have been on here.. Its whether im a trusted, helpful, respectful person who can actually be a good mod.. Which i hope i am.

5 posts there could've be answered if the
asker had looked at a guide or special report.
