Laptops go anywhere but The small screens are annoying. So are the roller mouse though I love touch pads. Monitors are huge and good for details. However you could hook a monitor to a laptop to use 2 screens. THe PC's can be made to have more. Ho wever they can't go anywhere. It's a big toss up. So it's a tie for me.

i like both.. edit ur post and have an option to choose "both"..

PC.. Sure, its bigger in physical size.. But easier to upgrade, easier to clean. Easier to repair, cheaper to repair, more can be done with a desktop pc when it comes to power. Desktop pc's are more effecient when it comes to hardware because its faster and usually more reliant.

You can have 4 hard drives easily, more space for optical drives also.. Larger power supply, no battery needed. Monitor size is easily much better if u get a good moniter. full size keyboard with spaced keys, not all cramped up together.. You can have wireless, wireless optical, optical with cord, wireless with ball, cord with ball mice. More space for pci slots and also more usb ports can be installed. Simply a desktop pc is best for those reasons..

Laptop. Small, efficient for its size.. Small screen, touch pad mouse restricts good gaming also can get annoying using ur fingers all the time. Their compact size allows em to go pretty much anywhere, and they still can easily sustain the power of a high performace gaming machine with 128 and 256mb graphics cards along with 120gb hard drives, some support 4 gigs of memory also.

Repairing them usually has to be done by the manufacturer unless you have taken certified courses on repairing laptops. Upgrading them is limited, they are extremely expensive. Mostly designed for portability and greatly used by network admins, they attack the laptop to the server itself, allowing them to do any troubleshooting anywhere on the network. Moving from building to building etc.

So yeah, pc's and laptops are both good and bad for their own reasons.

i voted pc. laptops are good if u wanna have it in ur lap but pcs are better on a whole cos they have bigger screens, faster, store more, no need to worry about battery running out, and they have bigger keyboards where u can actually type properly and bigger mices.

i cant edit the post to put in the "both" option

also about the small screens laptops dont necesserally have small screens. my laptop is an average laptop and its screen is 1024 x 768 pixels which is about the size of some PC monitors
