A few questions...

1) Do chaos gauntlets (from family crest) affect any spells using chaos runes (I.E. crumble undead, ancient magiks), or just bolt spells?

2) If I lose my bearhead (from mountain daughter), can I get it back? If so, how?

Actually Chaos Gauntlets are well worth it. With them equipped, you can hit up to a 15 with Fire Bolt. (3 more than the max)
