Dues Jagex Really Go After Autoers??

I agree that Jagex does need to do something about autoers....but it will be hard to do. I dont know much about computers other than how to use them but I imagine it is hard to get proof. I have often missed people asking me questions becuase I am watching TV while I train and am not really paying attention to the chat box. I have seen people that I think are autoeing by some of the reasons you mentioned...but I dont think the not talking one is a very good sign.

As to mods monitering specific locations for autoers they are players and have the right to train to. I agree that they should ask questions if they see something suspiscious but that shouldnt take time out of their own training.

player mods should do their jobs to police the players of RS not enjoy the game. most autominers are just f2p anyways and all that ores dumped on a main. that is not fair to any real players.

the same applies for combat training.

i even see a mod at varrock and there are site advertisement right beside him and an armor trimmer nearby while he is giving away stuffs to noobs.

i have to say that the macroing and illegal use of techonology to cheat in the game IS getting out of control and something has to be done but you also have to look at it from jagex' position. they dont want to deter players whether they be F2P or P2P and the player mods cant do everything and rid the world of bot users all together.
it is unfair on those honest and dedicated players who invest their time into rune and then have to deal with immature idiots that use bots and make it unfair for others. all you can really do is accept that it happens and hope that eventually people will learn that using bots is hardly beneficial and unfair and stop using them and be honest and hard working like the rest of us.
whingeing about it wont really accomplish much hey..

Now, on topic. Player mods do sometimes mute people and such depending on how great the offense. I wont mention this person's name, but she was using an autotyper and was muted for 24 hours. Not because she was reported, but because a player mod was in the bank with her.

Think of it like this, each day now rs has around 80k-130k players on and off during the day and night.. You have a limited staff of player mods,, maybe not even 100 of them. We have 82 worlds in total, f2p and p2p..
Its extremely hard to monitor every place where an auto'er would be.. Not to mention there will most likely be more than 1 auto'er.

Just because they dont reply to any messages, doesnt mean they are autoing. Sometimes they may have p chat, public chat, and trade off completely. They may not want to be disturbed by anyone. Having to stop because someone was to ask them a question and such.

staff mod's need to find a way to detect the actual program itself, there fore proving them of using one, resulting in a permanent ban hopefully.
