Hey.. just a small suggestion it has its pros and cons.. just thought that allowing the users to close their own threads would not make the moderators have to do it for them 8)

just a suggestion althought im pretty sure it wont happen

hmm i can see your point, but then why not make everyone a mod and where this change to take place the role of being a mod would be pretty obsolete.

it aint impossible....it's just not done yet...i like your idea saves the mods time...and the mods wouldnt mind inless they are stuck to this site and think its god!!! lol

Thats another permission problem. for now, phpBB 2 only have a kind of permission which can only close all the people's threads.

And, just think of how that can cause problem..

If that happens, then half of the job of the mod is taken over. Even tho it would keep things cleaner in the marketplace, it would im sure have an option of unclosing your thread, making members able to question mod's decisions, making them have no power over the forum. NO.

Well, then, people should only be able to "lock " there own threads and not able to unlock..

Well if they could lock their own threads, that means they could also UNLOCK after a moderator locks it. No. THis would just cause problems. LOCKED.
