Cool. Sacrifice your account. Sacrifice your time. Sacrifice your members money. Please don't sacrifice my account to lowering the botting levels... you know, because, well for one, I wont be there to enjoy it and it's not at all a worthy cause. For two, I didn't put all the time I have into my account (+ members) just to get banned in a war on bots. Otherwise I might as well had just botted anyways. I'd have a much better account for a lot less time.
I'm sure many people are for any means necessary to get rid of bots except if they get caught in it, well that's a different story. And the people complaining about doing anything to get rid of bots are probably all for it until they do get rid of them and they will start complaining about how expensive everything is and stuff. To get one thing there are negatives attached. Limiting bots in the first place got rid of free trade. Bringing back free trade brought back bots. Getting rid of bots will increase prices. So just enjoy it how it is. Yeah sure complain about the nuances (did i spell the right word?XD) but don't support solutions where innocents are burdened. It's not like it would be dieing for the freedom of your country... even when your freedom isn't threatened.

I answered like your were serious in your reply even if you were joking.

I was being serious in some ways. When I played I hated bots, I always pictured them dying and running around in Lumbridge not knowing what to do. I think it would be awesome to see Jagex go genocidal and start taking out a whole race of people (The Bots). I'm not talking about banning i'm talking about killing haha.

Well you start killing the bots they'll just make it to bring them back to the training area and everyone else will either not withdraw any expensive items from their bank in fear of dying or quit in frustration that people are always killing them when they try to train or just start botting themselves if they're going to get caught in the middle of a genocide on bots.

And yeah low prices are a good thing. That way you only have to combat for a lower amount of money. Because even if prices are higher, resource gathering is always going to be terrible money relative to combat. And since the best experience is heading in the direction from from things where you don't gather resources now, and since combat is the way to get money, lower priced resources is a good thing.

I'm sure there are people sitting over at Jagex with the same mentality as me. They beautifully crafted a huge game only to find that people are cheating and breaking their rules.

Well people are cheating in a game where the best players are the ones who play the most... so if someone is cheating for ranks, I'm not up in arms about it because there would just be someone who plays an unhealthy amount to take their place.
And the gold farmers, well they do it for money, it's a big business. There are much larger "crimes" in this world (well not really crimes since we allow it) with the motivation of money that have a much more devastating impact that I don't see people not buying RS gold any time soon (more time efficient to buy gold then make yourself too XD). Which is the problem, that people are buying gold in the first place which is why the gold farmers are there. And it's quite an interesting set of morals if you won't buy RS gold but you will buy many other things in the real world.

Reducing botting is not a worthy cause to hurt innocent people in the process no matter what you think of it.
And remember, the bots came after free trade which was voted for by 9/10 people. BLAME EVERYONE WHO VOTED IN FAVOUR OF FREE TRADE (haahaha I didn't because I didn't want the wildy back, can't blame me).

technically warren, the bots were all over the place before free trade. a long long time ago.

and everybody knew that bots would come back, and in greater numbers.

Well if you knew bots were going to come back in greater numbers when you cast your vote to bring it back, then you really got what you were asking for so what is there to complain about? Anyways, maybe it wasn't free trade exactly that brought a botting problem, but maybe it just made light of how easy it was to get away with it. OR COULD IT BE THAT Jagex has been shifting away from what made RuneScape successful and people are just finding more fun in botting than not???? idk
