I liked MW2 but not so much Black Ops so I'm really looking forward to this one.

It's the same multiplayer every year! What is there possibly to look forward to unless you like spending $60 for a short singleplayer?

Lol Black Ops I liked the campaign XD Dunno about about mw1 and mw2 campaigns since the endings were spoiled, and waw campaign story wise there really wasn't one.
But Black Ops my first COD and I like the multiplayer. Going backwards to play mw2, i don't really like it at all. Plus the first time I was killed was from a grenade launcher and the second and third from this guy with an rpg thingy l0l

Couldn't say better.

MW is overrated and overhyped. Instead of bringing back the same old crap every year, stay silent for like 5 years and make a huge come back with something amazingly new and never seen before. CoD series is getting as worse as Guitar Hero in term of number of useless games.

That makes sense for new DLC, not a whole new game.

Dunno there seemed to be more changes than the yearly update to the NHL series and probably other EA Sports games (I haven't played any recently) except they charge $60 for the new COD rather than $70 for the new NHL and don't have a one time pass for the multiplayer... I think NHL 11 is still using the same goalie animations from NHL 06 besides a few additions too lmao.

I'm not saying the amount of changes they make warrant a new version yearly though just because EA does it. But the changes wouldn't make sense for DLC either.... and if they were all of them would add up way over $60 anyways, unless they were offering them cheap... which yeah, won't happen.
Anyways, playing Black Ops first and then MW2, I felt Black Ops was a lot more improved than MW2. But a lot of people think the opposite so to them there are a lot of changes at least and of course they're going to look forward to MW3. I'm not looking forward to it but I want to see what it does (but I like the cover l0l...assuming what's shown isn't just a placeholder). I rather Battlefield 3

DLC would make sense. A gun pack of about 12 for like $5.99, Maps for like $3.99 ea.,etc.
That would be great.

See what DICE did with Bad Company 2, they took the gameplay, and made Vietnam-themed weapons, vehicles, and maps for it. Did they release it as a new game? Nope. Did it feel like it was a whole new game? Most definitely did. But they released Bad Company 2 as an EXPANSION PACK (fancy name for large DLC), and it went over VERY well. And it was $15 for what was like a whole new game, not five recycled maps!

Or see GTA Lost and Damned. Expansion of GTA 4 with same gameplay but not a a *new* game. It was a good idea and it worked out very well.
People love cheap stuff. I'm sure they're gonna sell more MW Expansions at about $20 than games at $69.99.

Wasn't the whole idea behind black ops multiplayer balancing? I don't think it makes sense to do that as DLC even had been it was the same dev that made them.
And I don't like the gun pack idea because if they're all balanced then buying it is worthless and if they're not then you're disadvantaged if you don't buy it XD

And had Dice saw an opportunity to make more money by calling it a full game, I'm pretty sure they would have. I'm not saying what they did isn't better, but it doesn't make the game better just because releasing it that way would have maximized profit. For very few companies ethics comes before money.
There are people who like the game and people who feel that there's enough differences each year - some people hate MW2 and some people hate Black Ops so obvs to those people there are enough differences. And Activision recognizes that and they're going to get their devs to milk it until it dies a painful death.

But on short campaigns, there are other games that are good with short campaigns and that's all the game is... like God of War.

And TBOGT and TLAD hardly changed anything from GTA4. And the quality of both didn't match the main GTA4 imo. BUT had they been released as new games I'm sure people would have looked forward to them and bought them all the same. I think Rockstar might value ethics a bit though.

Multiplayer balancing? That warrants a PATCH, not a completely new game.
