Here's how I started playing RS:
It began in grade 4 (spring '04 I believe), we were on Miniclip in the computer lab and my teacher was surfing through games for free time. Then she yells, "OOH-ROONSKAPE-THIS SOUNDS FUN".
So I started. My first account's username was something on a TV show I enjoyed.
When I played, it was so fun, I thought Tutorial Island was all there was to the game (I was too lazy to read back then, or thought the instructions were insanely didn't-make-sense).
The next day in the Lab, I forgot my login.
Crap.
Several TV show based usernames later, I finally started a permanent account, Asovse, shown above. I was more literate at the time and could understand instructions, plus I'm sure Jagex simplified Tutorial Island. So when I came to Lumbridge, I was like, "OMG, CHAT. OMFG. PEOPLE. THIS IS NEW. WHERE DID THIS COME FROM?" and used that as a primary account. Then I went to Vietnam. And I forgot my password somehow halfway through the 2 month trip (this was back in summer '06). I was devastated so I acted like I got banned. I believed in my own lies. Then in Autumn '06, I stopped hating RS and created Asovse1 to play with my school mates. There was so many new things: home teleport, people wearing skeleton suits (I honestly did not know what a holiday event was so I thought the skeleton suit and all halloween related clothing were member items, ffs I joined when there WAS a holiday event going on but didn't know I was able to do it.) This is now my primary account and I got mems on it and a couple 99s as well.
Yeah, so that's my ramble, story.
If anyone ever asks me how long I've been playing RS, I can tell them technically '04, but I can't provide opinions on my experiences.
Yeah.
