I think I'll just wait and see if it actually does get finished, for once. No idea what it's going to look like.

Edit: Supposedly coming in 2011, probably "when it's done".

That's a BIG might mate, they've only been saying this for 13 years. I'm not going to rely on it, however I can't wait to see how it does on consoles. Glad there's actually a good chance of it not getting scrapped this time.

Different developer. That probably makes a whole world of difference. On the other hand, this IS Duke Nukem Forever we're talking about.

Exactly, it doesn't matter who the developer is, they're going to see this new awesome engine and say that's what should be used in the game... Then 6 months later a better version is going to be made and the process repeats. But who knows, they might go back to one of the original engines for that classic feel, there is more than one reason that "Forever" is in the title, after all.

from what i can remember creepy. 8/10 of your gaming predictions actually come true. so unless this is the other 2, i see this game as mediocre and basically be how halo is for pc.

Really? You keep track? Can i get it in pie chart form. It saddens me that it's not 10/10.

But honestly if you look at what borderlands is and you look at what duke nukem is there strong points are completely different and i doubt the original devs are going to get much say in how this game turns out. Which means the fans aren't going to get the game they want and it's not going to live up to 10+ years of waiting. Wont even go into how the duke gameplay is so out of date now that there either going to have to massively change it or stick with it and hope people get a kick out of the retro throwback and not just annoyed.

i do believe you said that star wars force unleashed was going to be a decent game, until it came out and full completely crappy.
and the other one... uhhh can't remember but then better to be safe.

from the time we heard that gearbox bought duke it was 2 years ago? do wonder what they have done in 2 years.

No doubt they've done what everyone else did and scrapped 4-5 different engines/ideas behind the scenes.

I don't think the game would ever see the light of day. I am still not getting my hopes up on whether the game will be as stellar as its predecessor's, but the simple idea of it actually been released is quite soothing.
