If you're in the UK, will you be voting, and if so, for who? If you're not old enough, who would you vote for if you could. If you're not in UK, I don't suppose you have any interest, but if you do, please share thoughts.

Me? I'm voting Labour.

There all a bunch of thieving lying tossers. We have no saviour, no party that stands out to be the best choice. There *all* bad choices and none are going to do any better. It's a rather depressing situation.

If Brown wasn't the one leading labour they'd probably get my vote. But he is. And the guy is an idiot. Hes the British version of Bush. Conservatives are snotty nosed prats who didn't do much good when they was in charge either.

So the lib dems get my vote by default. They made there case for me on TV when they basically said "Look labours screwed up, the convservatives screwed up..we haven't!"There the only party who's not screwed **** up so far cause there the only ones not given a chance to do so! There still a bunch of ***** especially Nick Clegg who seems like a complete creep but at least he comes across as intelligent. I don't expect them to win or do any good but they seem to be the least worse.

Sadly i see the convervatives pulling the win. Which would bugger us.

In short;
Lib dem>Labour>Conservatives

I hate politics.

I'm with Creepy on the Lib Dems > Labour > Conservatives.

I think the way that the Conservatives have put themselves forward in the election race is completely ridiculous. They've pretty much made 1 or 2 good policies which they can advertise and the rest are just a pile of ****. Labour isn't much better right now, as shown by the state that our country is in right now. I've always been more of a Liberal than anything else, so if I was old enough to vote, they would be the ones I'd vote for. I know it's unlikely they'll win, but they deserve it more than the other two tossers we have leading Labour and Conservatives.

Of the few policies of any substance the Conservatives have put forward, I'm yet to agree with more than a couple of them. Coupled with the fact that Cameron is a total ****, I'd never vote Tory.

Labour on the other hand, I support nearly all their policies. I also think, despite the fact that he's rather a bore, that Brown is the best person to get us out of this economic mess.

Lib dems? Policy-wise, they're somewhere between the other two parties as far as I'm concerned. But even if I did support them more, there's no point in voting for them anyway.

I'm also of the belief that unless you really disagree with the current government, it's often better to allow them to continue in office without the sudden change in policy another party would bring.

If I was of voting age, and had a candidate in my constituency, I would vote for the monster raving looney party. Probably the best political party in the world, they don't take themselves seriously but actually propose the stuff that the public want. They'll never get in power but it's worth trying to get them at least a seat I suppose. Here's their manifesto: http://www.loonyparty.com/index.php?page=manifestoproposals-1 .

Mildly off topic but why do people vote on polls without posting? I can understand something insignificant like WAT FOOD DO U LIKE but on a topic like this one your answer needs an explaination. So i can only presume they voted for the sake of voting - the hell is wrong with people? See button press button?

Have we really got people on here that are *that* simple? :|

I'm really quite unfamiliar with British Politics, but looking at what happened in the recession, I wouldn't be surprised if the Labour Party got turfed out - I'm not positive they did all they could to stem the economic bleeding.

So in that case, If I were British, I would vote for the party that best represented my values - something that's pretty much unheard of here in Canada.

It'd be tossup between the Cons and the Lib-dems, but I'd probably go with the Lib-dems since I haven't heard very many good things about Cameron.

But really, I wouldn't know enough about it, and if I really was making a decision, I'd go and research the parties, who's running, policy, leadership, and all that sort of stuff - which is what I would urge all Brits to do. :)

I don't think the Lib Dems are going to get in power, they're too much of a minority I think.

Of course, they're in the same situation as the NDP are here in Canada - might form the official opposition, but never the government. Still, just because a party isn't likely to make government doesn't mean you shouldn't vote for them. :P

I'd eat my own face if the Lib Dems got in. It seems to me therefore that voting for them is just a wasted vote. Tactical voting will be the name of the game this election.

What if you don't like either the Labour or the Conservative parties? How is voting for someone else a wasted vote? They do elect members to Parliament, so I don't see how voting for a party that will get a lot of seats, but probably not form government, is a wasted vote. :-s

David Cameron and the conservatives definitely. I quite like Cameron's economic and social policies. Also, just the mere fact that Gordon Brown has waited until the last possible moment to call an election proves he is not a confident leader. He should have done the right thing and called an election in the spring immediately after he was awarded party leadership.

I'm not entirely sure on the percentages there but here a party generally needs 40% popular vote to form a majority government. If the same holds true there it looks like Cameron would form a minority. Though I can see why people might be interested in a change bigger than just a Labour/Conservative swap given the MP expense scandal ;)

At the last opinion poll it was something like 39% labour and 37% Conservative so to me it looks like it's gonna be either of those. Even if the Lib Dems got in power, they were still involved in the MP expense scandal so it's always gonna be one of those three.

On a seperate note, Shane and Brad always used to talk about Conservative and Liberal. What are labour? Just so I can relate to Shane and Brad with our English equivalent :D

As the election is today, I've decided to unlock this. Should be interesting to see what the seat breakdown comes out to be.
