What are your favorite novellists?

Mine, in no particular order, are

Fyodor Dostoyevsky - I like him because everything he writes is so smart and philosophical
Bret Easton Ellis - What's more to say than American Psycho? His other novels are great too.
Frédéric Beigbeder - He's a french author, you might not know him, but he's pretty much like BEE.
Michel Houellebecq - The author whom Beigbeder was inspired from.
Albert Camus - One of the best twientieth century existentialist authors.
George R.R. Martin - I haven't read much of his A song of Ice and Fire novels yet, but they seem really original (Not those typical fantasy novels).

You don't have to describe them, but I'd like to learn what RSBANDB reads. If anything :P

Well, hopefully, you DO read a lot :D

sounding really average, but Twain (prefer his nonfiction over his fiction, but both are good) and Poe (amazing short stories)

I enjoy one of the more classic authors, you know Dr Seuss.

As much as I like Dr Seuss, when I read novels I don't really pay much attention to the author, more the book itself. I can remember a book pretty well but not the author. Unless it's something well known like the Hobbit. That's Tolkien, easy.

I don't read much, it gives me headaches and my eyes burns and the tumors in my brain acts up.
But the only author who I do read works of is Stephen King.
Everytime my mom see's a book of his that I don't have, she'll buy it for me.
Which some of them are 700+ pages so it takes awhile to read..

In no particular order:

Cormac McCarthy
George Orwell
Franz Kafka

I guess Aldous Huxley as well, but I've only read one book by him; Brave New World.

**** George R.R. Martin. I've read most everything he's written and he is by far one of the best fantasy writers out there. I enjoyed his books more than I enjoyed Tolkien.

I mostly hate books, espiecally the idiot who created Twilight. But the one I appreciate the most would be the master of horror: Stephen King :D

Stephen King is a great author. He always keeps you on your toes. I don't enjoy much else. I need a book that forces you to want more.
