Literally 30 seconds ago, Halo Wars dropped through my door, a day ahead of release.

So, my question to you, how many of you guys are getting this? If not, how come? Also anyone feel up to playing online some time?

Yeah I'll be picking it up tomorrow on my way home from work, payday tomorrow too. ;O It's got 3v3 multiplayer right? I'll play some games with you online if you like, once i get used to the units and controls.

Uh huh it has 3v3. Been on campaign so far, and I'm actually stuck XD been so long since I've been stuck at a game it's unreal.
Level 5 or 6 I forgett which, is absolutely brick hard.

I really didn't think I would have picked it up today, but yesterday I saw an e-mail saying it had been dispatched, turns out I got it through the door about 2 today. Just a pity I had to go out or I would have been on it for hours.

Minor criticism in the camera control though, but I'm sure if I fiddled around with the settings a bit more I could make it so it's a bit easier to manage.

Got mine today, seems i had some luck too, the guy in Gamestation slipped me the DLC code for the flame warthog that you get with preordering guess he had some spares.

Hmm well i got to the third level, must say the ranking system seems a bit crap to me.

I got a gold on the very first level, i didn't complete any secondary objectives, i did absolutley nothing but what the primary objective asked of me.

Second level, i mass an army that goes over the actual cap, i have over 15k in resources, complete every single secondary objective and dominate the A.I without any trouble, resistence from them or effort on my part. And my rank? Gold, silver, bronze? **** no i get Tin.

What the hell? It seems to be completely based on how fast you do it. I've never liked rushing so I'm not to happy about that one. Pretty good so far though.

I don't get it until March 3rd

It has been a hard wait. The demo was good, and I can't wait to play it.

The one thing I noticed they did a great job on was the cinematics. Ensemble did a good job with this Halo.

Yeah it's a shame they've gone now. Maybe I'll look at renting once these tests are over. I need something a bit different and this looks to be the game.

If you don't have a 360, how did you play the demo? :-s

I'm probably not going to pick up Halo Wars because it's not something that pulls my attention right away. I'm sure the game is only going to be popular because of it's name. Just the other day I was at GameStop and someone came in, saw the Halo Wars poster, and said "Oh look mom, it's a new Halo game!". I'm sure he didn't know it was an RTS. xD

A good thing about this game is it keeps the tradition of skull finding to the Halo series, and it also keeps the tradition of the unbelievable difficulty curve between normal, to heroic, to legendary at which point the games becomes impossible to do on your own.

So aye, I need to get one of you lot to do legendary with me when you've figured out the game.
