War doesn't help economy now. Everything that was bought during world war II from the general population is now bought from contractors. So the war actually hurts the economy.

Hmm. Like i said I'm not sure where i stand, the current law they had in place allowed support for rape victims and so on all this is doing is allowing people to kill off babies for..well, no good reason other than them not wanting it.

It's not really relevant i just saw there was talks about him improving the economy and saving the country, this first step would say otherwise. I suppose it's just a small part in a big jigsaw.

Think about it, he campaigned on the idea that he would give every person the change they wanted. There is NO WAY every person wants the same change, and there is NO WAY he will be able to change some things. So I bet some people will be sorely disappointed when they find that he can't change what they thought he would.

Now if you pay attention, you would notice he also switched a lot of his policies to what McCain had written up. He's no longer taxing the rich, and he's looking more like a conservative in politics than the Hard-ball liberal he pegged himself to be. So that alone means he'll deliver on less than 70% of what he said...

i think he will fulfill MOST of his promises.
it's very difficult to complete them all in a 4 year term.

and when we were watching the inauguration in school we were all waiting for a bullet to go through his head.
not that we wanted him to get shot.
just that it was kind of expected with all the racism.

Judging by the 120 day halt and review of all pending regulations I'd say it's a good start. I think we'll see a period where campaign promises are started to be acted upon until/if something bigger comes along. This is sorta what happened here... In the Jan 2006 election in Canada the Conservatives kept the majority of their promises. It would have turned out like this in the Oct 2008 election, but the economic situation took priorities.

Just remember, it's not easy to make priorities

Well, no presidential candidate delivers on all their promises. It's all relative to the legislation that gets passed by Congress. Obama is really treated more like a celebrity than most presidents before him. This can be a good and bad thing since, yeah, it gets people excited about politics but it also causes scrutiny on the most minute details of his personal life. With so much attention placed on what he wore for such-and-such ball and what music he likes to work out in the gym to, I feel that his actual performance as a leader will be overlooked by the greater half of Americans.

He obviously can't do all that he's said he'll do. There just isn't enough time and political will. He might be able to finish all his '08 campaign promises if he gets elected again but not this time around. I'm thinking about 60-80% of the important things will get done and maybe 20-50% of the lesser ideas will be completed due to the important issues getting first priority.
