So the finical crisis finally effected me.....

I work for a rather large car lot, the jobs is ok and it gets me through college money wise. There is about 120 employees all together. With the credit pinch people cant get car loans like they did a year ago. Today they posted 10 layoffs, with another 20 tomorrow. One of my good friends at work was laid off today. Tomorrow i have a meeting to see if my name is on the list.....pretty bummed right now

If you're good at your job you have nothing to worry about. There going to get rid of the worst and keep the best, if you've been working hard no worries. Unless your job is expendable i suppose, then you very well might be screwed.

Anyway don't worry about it, either you get fired or you don't you can only hope you didn't slack off enough to get yourself sacked

I found out early this morning we were expandable. I told the owner he was a piece of **** after he announced that i was in the layoffs. Instead of laying me off there giving me a new job that they know i will quit. By doing this they would not have to pay me. If i were laid off they would have to pay me 80% of my pay but if i quit i dont get anything. So i just have to hold out till they fire me.

lol i wouldn't call it a job. Washing cars outside in freezing temperature's....I have a plan tho. Gonna go to work in a cut off shirt and swimming trunks in a couple weeks when its about 35 degrees and hopefully get hypothermia.
