I'll admit. While Mac, in my opinion, is a little nicer to work with, I've got to shake my fist at them for dissing off Windows with every commercial they make. Windows does have a few problems, but it's still a very good, straightforward operating system.

Good for you, Microsoft. However, next operating system you make, take your time, OK? There's no rush.

That's a good advertisement. Using real people and not actors trying to peddle weak stereotypes.

These should have come out long ago, perhaps even with the release of Vista. But in my view it's a situation of too little, too late. They are good ads nonetheless.

For anyone who hasn't been keeping up there was also the Gates and Seinfeld short skits... I'm not entirely sure what they are wanting to convey with these.

They don't have the comedic value of the Get a Mac ads

Oh and Microsoft did take it's time with Vista... first release not so good, SP1 good. So another 18 months would have been needed...

The problem Microsoft is having is the PC is not hip enough... Its not cool to have a PC... Macs seem to be very popular among the younger "hip" population.

rather hard huh. only college students that buy them are
1 who need it only to use MS office
2. only use it for graphic designs
3. is an apple fan boy
4. wanted that free ipod that came with it.

It would be nice to see a Mac commercial that doesn't try to slam Windows, and instead actually says what makes it so great.

Microsoft probly just didn't bother to make commercials in response until now because they still have an insane percentage of all computer owners. They aren't in any trouble if a few thousand switch to Mac. In fact, they would have been cut down by the government for being a monopoly if it weren't for Apple.
