I'd do Archduke Franz Ferdinand just because how his assassination sparked the chain reaction that it did.

Maybe point out how it was interesting how just one single death caused WW1?

It's not everyday you hear people talking about him. He is Def out there compared to like say Hitler and Churchill. More people can relate to the name Gandhi. But Magellen, not to sure. I'd say pick either of the Ferdinand's
