I'd like to check my e-mail but the itouch doesn't support hotmail/MSN unless you manually input all the data and that's where I need help.

This is the layout of what I have to fill out.

Name: Zach (Last Name)
Address: email@hotmail.com
Description: email@hotmail.com

Incoming Mail Server
Host Name: (Not sure what to put here)
User Name: (Not sure what to put here)
Password: (Not sure what to put here)

Outgoing Mail Server
Host Name: (Not sure what to put here)
User Name: (Not sure what to put here)
Password: (Not sure what to put here)

I also have another question. I recently added an application onto my itouch and its basically a remote to turn off my computer but I'm not sure where to get all the information to make it work.

Here is the layout of what I have to fill out.

VNC Server IP Address: (I'm not sure how to get this, I believe this is just my IP address.)
VNC Password: (No clue on where to get this.)

Thanks for taking your time and reading
-Zac

You can't check hotmail using anything else than your browser, unless your paying for it. Try google, it gives you POP and Relay server adressess you may need to fill in.

You need POP and SMTP enabled email, to use client software with it so yeah try some other E-Mail service.

G-mail and yahoo I definitely know work but for hotmail...Greedy jerks...you can't use SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol this is to send messages [Outgoing]) and POP (Post office protocol this is to retrieve E-mail [Incoming]). as for the remote issue...Sorry can't help ya.

there is something you can do though, if you get a mail collector (basicly it takes ur email and sends it all to another such as gmail or bigstring or yahoo) and make a gmail account then you can get all your hotmail email into gmail on your itouch, some collectors can send the mail through the email they are collecting from so you could send through hotmail too.... good luck by the way a lot of collectors are free so just an idea
