Ever since I beat Doom 3 20 times, I've been looking for something to scare me :| F.E.A.R. can give me chills once in a while, and I remember The Thing and The Suffering both being decent the first time I played them, but it seems I have to turn to movies all the time when I want something truley frightening. Wouldn't even mind if it's an online game.. Last ones I remember being frightening were Exmortis and Exmortis 2. Scariest game out of all I played was probably Doom 3, judging on the first time I played it. Haven't played Resident Evil because I don't have a PS2, and I haven't tried Silent Hill yet. :( Last decent game I've played on the 360 was Condemned 2: Bloodshot - it had some pretty cool moments with a grim atmosphere throughout, and you could hit people with pretty much anything.

So what about you guys, what's the scariest game you've ever played? Feel free to mention other scary games, or one that's coming out.

BioShock isn't scary AT ALL! xD That game doesn't even scare my 3 year-old sister. But some parts are creepy. But not real creepy.

If you want a good scary game, get the Condemned series, in my opinion the first is more scary, but the second is more fun.

The original plus Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate, yeah :P XP had the scariest moments in my opinion though ... looking forward to Project Origin.

Spoiler for F.E.A.R. .. lots of blood:

(nice reaction, not)

Poor Holiday :(

Resident Evil 4 always creeps me out, I couldn't even get passed some parts I was scared to actually play them. Regenerators, Chainsaw Guys, and obviously the "blind prisoners". I found this bad quality YouTube video to give you an idea.

Silent Hill can be a little scary/creepy at parts. The only scary part in BioShock was in Dandy Dentals. Dead Space looks like it could be a scary game. (And an extremely good game as well.)

The sandbox was very rarely used by moderators, site owners and admins, it was used by the regular member to have "fun". Flame baiting, spamming or whatever, I think it would have been only fair to ask what everyone else thought first. Regardless of the outcome, it would have been a lot less selfish (because removing it like this is) and would have gotten a much better response.

Same here, knew it was coming but .. that's brutal :|

The most experience I've had with Resident Evil was watching a walkthrough on youtube.. better than nothing I guess. Looking forward to RE 5 on the 360, along with Dead Space since it looks like a better version of The Thing.

I also don't get why people think Bioshock is scary .. I haven't played it so I'm obviously clueless, but it doesn't seem like something meant to scare people.. just has a creepy vibe to it.

Possibly the time my cousin and I were playing BioShock, and I was at the Scary Dentist that pops out behind you part, not knowing what was going to happen, and it scared both me and my cousin to the point of turning off the game and him not being able to come to my house for a few weeks. XD

That's by you from the "scariest moment" topic in Non-rs discussion. And I very well remember how you came to me crying how terrifying it was. xD

As for me... some people call me weird, but I seriously don't find a single fictional thing (movies, games, ect.) scary. :|

Just because I got scared once before doesn't mean it scares me now, Slimppu. I don't think BioShock is at all scary, but whatever. :\

So what you're saying, once before you were scared to death of it, while your 3-year old sister wouldn't be scared at all? xD

Good point, but I don't think he meant to say that :P It's like me and Doom 3 - first time I played it I was horrified throughout the game (for Steven and Bioshock, one part). Now I play it so much I don't think it's possible for it to scare anyone, although it still can. Correct me if I'm wrong though :?
