wouldnt it be cool to have a renting/borrowing ge?

I don't know why everyone is so dead set against it. It could be a good idea if Jagex did it right (lol). It has potentional, but Jagex would flatten it like they do everything else.

There could still be the incentive of owning an item to rent it out for money. It would have to be more than 30k for a day, though. Maybe it could be like 10-30k an hour depending on the quality of the item.

That's like saying, "What's the point of buying a house when you can just rent one?"

Eventually, people want to own things themselves and not have to make indefinite payments on them. It would be the same way with a whip, or w/e.

A renting GE could work. It wouldn't just be a random lending of items for no charge (which would suck, I agree).

It would most likely cause items to drop more then they have already from item lending.

I'm fine with item lending itself but it really ***** me off how total strangers can borrow from you.
I think a ge borrowing/lending station would just make this problem worse and cause item prices to go crazy.

I don;t think it would be that cool. There is no reason to support borrowing. The only people who borrow are mainly noobs with no money and then they go around begging for items.

In my opinion, it's disturbing to know that people are fine with renting an item out to someone they don't know. I've lended my whip to one of my friends for a ss, and lent it out for 10k to a friend who insisted that they pay, but I can't imagine sitting in the ge lending my whip. I miss the time when there was unbalanced trades a lot, because that was lending, you actually had to trust the person i can guarantee that in the real world if you lend some random person your car it wouldn't be sitting in your driveway when it was supposed to be. if they brought back the unbalanced trade the eco in rs might fix itself, that and if the ge were name your price

what if the rent prices were extremely high and time was limited by 1 hour a day per item, where people couldnt get the same item from somebody else on the ge in a 24 hour period? would that burn the eco? guys im not being a rebel right now, just letting u know i really wanna have a good discussion about this
