Do you wear glasses?

I actually had an eye doctor appointment for the first time in my life last week

I have contacts now. My eyesight isn't terrible, the powers are -1, but my mom insists on getting glasses for me in case I can't wear contacts on a particular day, maybe from irritation or something. Even if I didn't wear them I wouldn't wear the glasses either. I can go with slightly blurry sight and not worry about it.

As for me it is the same thing, I had a choice I could wear glasses or not that was up to me of course the answer was yes, but if you do dcline them good luck passing drivers test.

Technically, I'm supposed to, but I don't.

I can see fine... in one of my eyes. The other I'm blind in. The glasses aren't supposed to improve my eyesight in that eye; though, since they really don't- they're to "protect" the eye I can see through. It's not a good enough reason for me. XD

Plus, I get headaches sometimes from glasses, and they feel weird. :oops:

yes, since i was about 2 and i fell off the stairs and landed on my head in the hall-way and damaged optical nerves.

+4.75 in right +4.5 in left.

i wear some random quiksilver glasses from specsavers

Anyways, that's why my eyes are at -7.50R -7.00L.
I wear contacts whenever I go to school or fencing (mask + glasses = fail)
On the weekends I just wear glasses as I'm prone to randomly take a nap.

I have "perfect" (or so they say) vision, so I do not wear glasses.

My father didn't need glasses till recently at age 50, and I hope it's at least that long till I will need glasses as well.

ye im long sighted. i seem to see more long sighted than short sighted but on here everybody is short sighted o.o

and ye i do that already, but about 10 hours.

I wear them for driving, and occasionally to read the board in school, if I'm sitting at the back.

I have to wear glasses... i can't see much futher than a meter away. Also i cant get contacts because my eyes the wrong shape or something... reallly annoying cant play sports without breaking them... like third pairs this year

It's a theory with no proof yet that says near work can cause myopia. Some hypothesize that staring at things up close, i.e. computer screens for extended periods of time causes your eye to compensate with the close focusing, making it easier to see up close but your long range suffers.

There is no proof, however I noticed my eyesight deterioration when I had spent longer amounts of time on the computer in late 2006, and then continued when I started playing WoW in 2007.

Nope, I actually have a pretty good vision as my dad unlike my mom which has a terrible vision.

Yup, I wear glasses/contacts. I always wear my contacts in public places, a.k.a. school. When I get home, though, (on some days) I take them out and slip on my glasses. I agree with you, contacts are a chore to handle, but I think it's worth it.
