is it me or are runescapers gettin richer

when i first started about 2 years ago when i became member seeng a holiday item or even full drag was a big thing.
nowadays nearlly every one seems to be rich (exept for me)

No, thats can't be so because the number of holiday rares will never rise as they won't be re-droped. Maybe you just never focused on it or realised it but there have always been many people with rares.

I think that your Right all my friends are like rich now but they are much Higher levels now then when they were when I started

No, runescape is not "getting richer", all you are seeing is an increase in items gainded through rare drops, e.g dragon chain and now they are dropping in price so people who previously had them at 15m, now cam buy them at 11m.

You will notice people you know getting wealthier,this is most likely due to the fact that they either play more, or have better money making methods, but there will always besomeone who is richer and someone who is poorer, so there is no need for alarm.

I'd say GE has sure slowed the rich getting richer. A lot of inventory came into play, from people who hated selling in banks, before GE. Now it's easy for them to sell stuff. Bad for producers (they get less gc now) but good for consumers.

So, you may not see your gc holdings go up, but for the most part, what you have will buy more now than it did before.

True, ever since the GE came out, I've lost money. Having the easy access to just put an item up for a low price and get the cash instantly is my drug. Every time I do this I say "The time I save selling through the GE will be made back later" sadly this hasn't happened and I've lost about 1.5m through buying and selling Dragon items every time I feel like doing a little combat or Slayer.

Man am I easy to suck in

Well..

People are certainly getting more gp, 100m isn't the incredible accomplishment it used to be a while back, however i don't know if this means people are getting richer, because gold is worth less, you can buy less with 10k than you could before. I mean take herblore, how much to 99 in gp? How much did it used to be?

So yeah, people have more gp, but i'm not sure if they're getting richer.

Like all economies the Runescape one is no different, the value of the dollar will always change.

I would have thought that there'd be less in the economy now though because the only way to significantly generate gp is by alching, and considering after the wilderness update the number of alchers has reduced, I think that soon prices will fall as well as the value of the "dollar" because less is being introduced than removed by summoning and construction.

I don't know what game you're playing but 100M is still a huge accomplishment, one thta will only be achived by maybe 1% or less of the population within their RuneScape

im sorry i was away for 1 day so now i have lots of posts dont have time to reply to all. But some really good points hear, some thing i never thought where when i first started i was non member so people where porer and when first becoming member i never new the true value of all items....

1%, maybe less, .33 I think, to get 100 mil I'd need to get 99 hunting 3 more times *shudder*
