The reason why CUSTOMER SUPPORT was removed.

I was going to try to report something this morning, so I went through all of the obvious routes to get there. Can't find the bloody Customer Support anywhere. At least nothing that allows you to send Jagex a message.

Many of the things asked are probably in the Knowledge Base, it's just buried so deep and in illogical places you can't find it. :s

Yeah, I don't know why they can't just reply, "This is answered in the Knowledge Base." or "Please post these kind of things on the forums, where it is better answered." to those queries, and have an options to reply to their replies like:

"I have searched the Knowledge Base and can't find it anywhere!" - A Jagex customer support will link you to the article, or give you the information if it actually isn't there.
"I do not wish to find it myself, I'd rather not know." - Marks it as read
"I have checked the Knowledge Base and have been satisfied by the answer." - Marks it as read

And if all of one persons' queries are frequently replied to with the "Check the KB" statement, why can't they be temporarily blocked from sending anymore queries?

To be frank, I don't think the majority of RuneScape players have the brain capacity to look through the knowledge base for answers.
The amount of times I've told someone to look in it and get the reply, "Whats a kbase lol"...

I'd get annoyed so much having to be polite and understanding to a lot of these people.
I do think a lot of customer support employees must be without a job now though. XD

this a major part of any buisness and most of the knowledge base or w.e doesnt go into enough detail maybe they should make changes to it before they removed customer services lol

these are the kinda mistakes they never learn from tho as they do not lose money from this as ppl wont quit over a silly thing like that

Surely 99% is a load of bull, I doubt that the Runescape communtiy is that stupid, it's not the brightest bunch, but that's like saying 1% of the communtiy has actual brains, not buying it.

I onlyever sent actual queries to Jagex which I couldn't find anywhere else after extensively searching the knowledge base, total queries sent 3.

They just had to lay off their CS workers after the mass quit from the wildy update :shock:

Doesn't really effect me, I don't think I ever used it. But the getting rid of it was probabaly one of the worsts moves they ever made. They're basically sutting off all form of communication with the players.

I can understand it. Imagine all the 8 year olds sending messages to Jagex every single day asking for items and whatever. I don't see what was wrong with the automated message system they've had in place though, why not just keep that up? Rofl... automated.
