I doubt it, Sceptres are only in the big golden cases.

Cheif, my friend with 99 theiving has said to me that there is indeed a jar that is like that to everyone. All my 71+ leveled Theiving friends have confirmed it.

I don't know why but perhaps you should send a report to Jagex about it.

Something tells me they wouldn't do much about it.

Someone did say on the topic on the Official Forums that it might mean that the snake in the urn would bite you if you just lingered near the urn for too long, i.e. without doing anything, and without looting it. I pretty much confirmed this wrong for myself by waiting as long as I could in front of it and nothing happened, so this is still an unresolved issue. XD

Maybe when Jagex get done with all the rants about how the game sucks at the moment I'll try sending something in.
