So theres this awesome thing I just recently found called garry's mod.

Its basically a giant sandbox mode for the source engine (what valve uses for its game now, ie. Half Life 2, Portal, Team Fortress 2)

You can spawn models from any source game you own, spawn some npcs, vechicles, make structures, do a bunch of complicated wire stuff, and get addons and mods to make it even better.

Examples of awesome:

Dropping a Star Destroyer on an army of G-mans

Take a Heavy from Team Fortress 2 and freeze his model in fun positions (you get a face edit, can screw with ragdolls, etc.)

Right now it costs $10 off steam, as opposed to the last 9 versions that were free, but from now on there will just be big updates.

Oh, did I mention ONLINE MULTIPLAYER?!?!

There are a -tiny- bit of version 9 servers now, just if no one want to spend the money.

But yeah, Gmod is fun.

It's worth the money. They only charge for it now because the creators of Garry's Mod made a deal with Valve. In exchange for more depth and source code for the Source Engine, they provide a percentage of their revenue back to Valve.

Well games are usually pointless :lol:

But you should play it, then you will find its awesomeness supremely awesome so that you must spend your money on this awesome game full of awesome.

My friend and I just downloaded it at his house, and it's pretty boring.

Or because he doesn't understand how to make the cool stuff that makes gmod so amazing.

He doesn't have to play if he can't play it.

it takes some learning to figure out how to do the really awesome stuff (wiremod, spacebuild, etc) that gmod is great with and thats what makes the game fun
