Uploaded images darker?

When I uplaod an image and you have to click on it to veiw the full size it's darker, but if I click on it and copy the adress and put it into the post and put img tags it's looks fine.

It looks the same to me. The only difference being that when you click on it, it's larger. The limit for thumbnails is 400px wide.

It could just be your eyes playing tricks on you. An image in contrast to a white background will look darker than it is in contrast to a black background.
