Free Stuff please. So what you mean is not all the characters have to be on the same server ? If so yey ?

WoW allows you pretty much unlimited characters on any server you want, but you can only have 10 per server.

The sandbox was very rarely used by moderators, site owners and admins, it was used by the regular member to have "fun". Flame baiting, spamming or whatever, I think it would have been only fair to ask what everyone else thought first. Regardless of the outcome, it would have been a lot less selfish (because removing it like this is) and would have gotten a much better response.

depends on your gameplay.

there are places in the world on pvp servers that are alliance controlled, some contested and some horde controlled. if you are alliance in a horde zone your pvp will be flagged "on", thus meaning any horde can attack you, regardless of level. and vica versa with horde to alliance zones. in contested anyone can attack anyone regardless of lvl.

if you are an alliance player in an alliance zone then you will not be flagged as pvp until you attack horde.

if you cross from contested to friendly it takes 5 minutes for pvp to be flagged off.

if you like a lot of pvp gameplay and dont mind getting ganked a lot while levelling then go pvp, if you wanna just play pve all the time apart from battlegrounds then go normal servers.

personally i prefer pvp because its always fun to kill some alliance if youre training (or kill horde depending on your faction)

there is one major downside to pvp servers; ganking.
lvl 70's go out to low lvl zones (hillsbrad and stranglethorn are very pipular for ganking) and kill low lvl players for the fun of it, sometimes camping your corpse and keep on killing you.

tbh id go for pvp if you ask my opinion.

I personally dislike PvP, but that's mostly because I like exploring places without the threat of randomly getting PK'ed by some jerkface. Some people like the added enjoyment of it, but I prefer playing on Normal mode.

PvP servers now turned into high levels camping newbie zones and that's pretty much it. World PvP is dead nowadays.

I went on PVP yesterday and the places i went to was er empty. I was playing as a troll, i saw one alliance elf hunter, a couple of orcs but that was about it.

I presume there's a few select places around the world that people hang out in while others are deserted?

Didn't really seem as dangerous as people make out, it adds a new layer to the game which i think i like, if you're in horde zones you're safe unless you attack alliance so you can still explore, have fun and do things but then you have that added level of risk if you go into neutral zones and even more alliance. :P

I do have a question though, these zones? Can they be fought for? Like can the alliance take control of a horde zone and turn it into an alliance zone? That would make sense and make pvp better cause right now i don't see much point in player killing, there seems to be no reward.

Starting zones are generally quiet, as are most of the low level zones. That's pretty common

And no, even though the zones can't be gained or lost. Even though some are called 'contested' (which I think is slightly misleading) although some higher level zones do you dynamic pvp objectives. For example Eastern Plaguelands which is a 55-60 zone has 4 towers in it, now the towers can be captured by either faction, simply by standing in them for a while, there's a little slider bar that goes towards either horde or alliance depending on which faction is standing in it, and of course people are drawn to it and fight each other there to gain control of the tower. Control of the various towers gives various buffs/advantages to the controlling faction.

a few outlands places have them too, e.g in zangar if you control both the towers you get a 5% dmg increase, terokkar if you cap all the towers the bosses in the auchidoun instances drop spirit shards used to buy things.

and generally its hillsbrad, stv and a few grinding spots in outlands which are infested with both factions, and are usually mass ganking.
