Im stuck now because my friends are pn dragonmaw, yet I wanna come to you guys in Ancharos =( is there any difference between a normal and PvP server ?
normal = sux
pvp = awesome.
depends on your gameplay.
there are places in the world on pvp servers that are alliance controlled, some contested and some horde controlled. if you are alliance in a horde zone your pvp will be flagged "on", thus meaning any horde can attack you, regardless of level. and vica versa with horde to alliance zones. in contested anyone can attack anyone regardless of lvl.
if you are an alliance player in an alliance zone then you will not be flagged as pvp until you attack horde.
if you cross from contested to friendly it takes 5 minutes for pvp to be flagged off.
if you like a lot of pvp gameplay and dont mind getting ganked a lot while levelling then go pvp, if you wanna just play pve all the time apart from battlegrounds then go normal servers.
personally i prefer pvp because its always fun to kill some alliance if youre training (or kill horde depending on your faction)
there is one major downside to pvp servers; ganking.
lvl 70's go out to low lvl zones (hillsbrad and stranglethorn are very pipular for ganking) and kill low lvl players for the fun of it, sometimes camping your corpse and keep on killing you.
tbh id go for pvp if you ask my opinion.
