RRRight I've not updated this in a long while. Not cause i got lazy (well partly) or cause i didn't care anymore. I had reasoning. See over the past few weeks I've been boosting all my skills to 70+
It was a goal i had for a long time and i was extremely close. I mean a total of 3 levels away from it. 69 Runecrafting, 69 prayer, 69 construction. I was hoping to get it before summoning but sadly halfway through 69-70 runecrafting it came out.
That was fine, I'll just boost that one up too. Sadly at the time i didn't realize this was the slowest skill released to the game to date. Currently i am 20 summoning and that is after putting in HOURS of grinding at monsters. I've gone from 113-115 combat already.
Anyone that knows me knows i prefer to keep my combat level low compared to my skill total but not completely locking out combat because i still enjoy it. So, grinding at this isn't doing my account much good. And I've tried, I've played with the skill and attempted to find a quicker, cheaper alternative to it but there is none i suspect they'll bring out other options in the future but till then the only way i can see myself being able to train this AND keep my combat as low as is possible would be to mix it in with my other skills.
And so instead of creating new goals for myself once i got all 70+, like i planned. I've done it early, bringing them out including my new combat based goals so i can do summoning and get slayer/prayer/ranged/maged exp at the same time. Killing two birds with one stone.
Of course this is not going to be as fast as grinding it but it will save me a few combat levels I'm sure of it.
So, enough rambling heres the rundown for my new goals and why i decided upon them:
Combat: I opted for 125 combat as a goal. If i can keep it lower great but i took a wild stab in the dark and by the end of my goals i can see myself around this level.
Att, str, def, hits: These have no goals, there going to go up of course to what? I don't know, i'll be training nothing but Strength so if anything, that'll rise up above 95.
Prayer: This going to 75 is purely because Prayer helps me out a lot. Also Taking it in chunks of 5 like this keeps it manageable in cost and i don't get to bored of it.
Range: I hated this skill, it sat at 78 for YEARS but recently it's grown on me, I'll be pushing this up to 85. It was a tough choice between 90 and 85 but in order to keep my hits lower i figured it was best to keep it low.
Magic: This skill no longer surves a purpose to me. I have everything unlocked that i could need except perhaps onxy gem enchant. Either way It'll be going to 85, i hate magic this is mostly so i can get more summoning stuff while maging.
Slayer: This was uh..tough. I originally planned for 80 slayer but with this new update and a lot of summoning monsters dropping the much needed Summoning stuff i chose to go one extra step and push for 85. With the increasing amount of money sink skills coming out and old ones becoming them, i need a better and quicker way of gaining money now and i think whips can help me out on that.
Cooking: Easy. 90 will do me for now.
Fishing: Bores me silly but 90 fishing will get me enough fish for 90 cooking.
Thieving: Easy to train, 85 theiving should be quick and easy to get.
Smithing: Really I've been playing long enough, i think it's time i learn how to smith runite, it's one of my oldest goals and something I've wanted since i started. So 85 it is.
Mining: 90 mining LOL I'm crazy. Best to get it out the way i suppose.
Runecrafting: 75 runecrafting for me. Just for the extra pouch, i can make a large amount of natures then and help fund other skills.
Crafting: 80 crafting, dragon ammys for mee.
Farming: I hate this skill. 75, purly for skill total.
Herblore: 75. Don't expect me to get this anytime soon, I'm waiting for the Morons that run Jagex now to fix it.
Fletching: 90, It's a stupid crap skill but it's st points.
Firemaking: 95. To carry on with my 99 firemaking goal.
Construction: 75. Money sink ftl. Done to keep skill total up.
Agility: 85. LOL. Just to see if i can.
Hunter: 85. This skill is easy, chins will get me more munies as well.
Summoning: 75, I'm not sure how easily this will be to get, time will tell.
Expect updates very soon, i have photos stored i just cba to upload them right now. Summoning pics wont be taken till i reach 50, i never upload photos before that.
Runescape is changing and it's a matter of adapt to it and go with the flow or get left behind. It's not going in a direction a like and i might decide one day to stop cause of it but for now, these are my goals.
Remember though, these goals are long term, I wont be bagging them all in the next 2 months. XD
