Take a few deep breaths; this is my opinion about the update

I support this update.

No more gold farmer or bots will make the game much better.

Merchanting has died down which will could keep the prices stable.

The wild i understand its the main reason why some people play and i also know the Bounty hunt has lots of problems with it (multi combat, time limit) but who knows? Jagex might change the Bounty hunt, Give them enough decent feedback and just might happen.
With the way people spamming and rioting all over runescape not going to change anything, just a lot of forums banning and in-game muting.

The trade balance is yet to come so i can't really so much about it.

Runescape still has a lot coming, people making judgments, stamping feet and quiting too early.

In all, i support the update.

I'm sorry to say I'm hear to gloat. Now, I went rooting earlier over some cheat sites i know and i found a lovely topic titled "How gold sites will continue to sell gold"

Nice work there jagex, screw up the game and before the update is even fully out BANG they've got a way around it already.

All this trouble, all this crap and they've got a way around it already. I bloody said they would, i KNEW they would and oh look they have.

Jagex has now made it EASIER and better for gold farmers, not only that they've now opened up a new opportunity - power leveling accounts.

So now these guys aren't just screwing economy there now stepping on MY bloody toes and ruining skills, or will be very soon.

Nice one, great. Fan-*******-tastic.

I'm going to moan elsewhere where i an express myself properly.

Jagex had probably taken this into account, but I still don't see how it works out in their favour (at least with one specific aspect).

Many of the pkers are members, just for the pking features. There is no doubt that many of them will quit due to this feature, and perhaps Jagex will lose more money than real world trading ever lost them.

People will always find a way to real-world trade, it's just harder now.

Jagex has probably taken this into account, whether they feel like this sacrifice of a bit of they're revenue is worth it, or my numbers are wrong...

In my personal opinion, I really don't care about the pking factor, except I'll miss the videos

. Prices of runite will plummet (if the grand exchange can keep up with it) now that people won't be afraid to go mine more (more supply, same demand). I miss the boneyard and my free decent prayer exp...

As for the 3k net wealth thing, I'm just crossing my fingers that it won't ruin runecrafting and then I'll be happy... I'll miss the birthday presents too :wink:

In the long term, Pking will just be a memory, and people will live on...

if they were smart they wouldve made some worlds the old wilderness and some the new. prolly be a bit crowded but people wouldnt be as mad. I still dont understand why people beg for the update then hate it.

Creepy that won't work. It's kinda suspicious when someone logs in every night in China. I bet they have tons of protection for this.

It's kinda suspicious when a level 3 cuts non-stop for 10 hours a day 7 days a week.

Do you see them getting banned?

As I recall, this was primarily to stop real-world traders, not gold farmers. Of course there will still be power-levelers and whatnot, but at least they will be paying for the items and in-game resources.

We here at Jagex has finally eliminated the RWT, at the expense of ruining the game for almost all of us!

- GE killed merchanting, to add salt to the wound, 3k trade limit burnt merchanting's corpse

- 3k stake limit killed duel arena. What's a pure's alternative to pking? Staking! What good use is staking if I'll be making 3k per 15 minutes, I've spent weeks on my pure to get the levels i need to own!

- BH killed pking! Remember when one-itemers, pjers, taggers ruined wildy? Now the whole pking aspect is pretty much just that. Bring more than a dds, you're pretty much throwing money at the charity!

- Clans! Clans! Clans! Pk run-ins were a good time for many to bring their mules to loot some rune, but with the new clan wars, you don't even LOSE your items. It's just a second Castle wars minigame! Wait, even if you do lose stuff in clan wars, what use is your looter, because you can't trade the loot to your main!

- Law running! Bank ran out of laws to tele? Just grab some ess and run laws a couple of times! BUT WAIT! With the new unbalanced trades, you can't trade ess for laws anymore, it's not balanced! Or, in the shoes of the rcers, HOW DO WE GET FAST EXP ANYMORE!!

From the new news, it seems that nothing's being undone, so, question is, have you quitted runescape yet?

Alex, I really don't think you understand the full scope of this update. It doesn't ONLY affect pkers/pvpers.

Think of the effect pkers have the economy. They buy MASSIVE amounts of potion, food, and weapons/armor. Where will the fishers go to sell their food? Where will those who have high herblore go to sell their potions when the main demand of combat potions is from pkers?

Now that you've thought about that. Now, if you haven't already, think about if most, if not all, pkers were gone. What kind of impact would that have the economy? Herblore, which was one of the most profitable skills in rs, is dead. Fishing is dead. And smithing is a LOT less profitable.

Now YOU tell me if that's a good update. One that ruins 3 skills and all pvpers.

You could never legally trade the loot over to your main account.
