Alright, as most people know, nowadays, Jagex apparently has taken a break from the important things in maintaining this game, and moved on to doing one thing we all love to hate: banning at the drop of a hat.
Now, I understand working for Jagex would be difficult, but it shouldn't be too hard to be semi-generous. I'm serious. The application for being a Jagex Moderator has got to be something similar to, "Do you have a RuneScape Account?" and "Can you click the left mouse button to hit a button saying 'Ban'?"
Now back on topic. As I was woodcutting, I had noticed that the macros and gold farmers had overrun RuneScape. Again. Check it out:

Now Jagex has banned several Rsbandbers, including: Warren, Anubis, PotatoReaper, Me, Hummerwar, and xOhYeax(So he says), Jaden, 666him666, and probably more to come.

Oh, and I also got muted for a day for saying, "Jews are fun to poke."
Oh Come on.

Now, I thank you for reading my rant, as it felt good to clear my mind.

As I said before in another thread, Jagex is taking their rules way to seriously and applying them to the extreme, in which most cases they weren't even necessary. Also, I don't think Jagex shows enough sympathy to those who break the rules or to those who are accused of violating rules, but in reality are innocent. Therefore, I don't think you'll notice a change in their ways of dealing with situations involving rule violations.

Wait, Anubis got banned?

The problem has been going on for years, it really isn't anything new. Seriously, the rants about 'macroers' are pointless. Jagex have been trying to fix the problem, so sit down and wait it out. Go work on a skill that doesn't involve character interaction or competing with oher players.

Although I do agree that Jagex have been swinging around the 'banhammer' a bit carelessly lately, I just turn off my chat, and think about each word I type before pressing 'Enter'.

Not to say anything about any of those peoples' character, but you don't see mike, creepy, or shane getting banned. Now, I'm not being judgmental, but we all know how easy it is to get banned in Runescape. Sometimes one sentence or one word is enough. I think Jagex has been clear on what it takes to get banned, so I don't feel terribly sorry for these people. I mean to greater or lesser degrees they are innocent or guilty, but to be honest, in most cases, people deserve to get banned (I will admit hummerwars ban was ridiculous and should have easily been overturned on appeals, but he does emulate a real world trader pretty well  ). All I can say is that ***** at the problem isn't going to change it. The way of being safe in Runescape is to follow the rule...plain and simple...if you do that you are much, much less likely to get banned.

On the macro thing...I've screamed for years. There are solutions, why Jagex isn't implementing them...I do not know...but that is Jagex for you.
