World of WarScape?

No, this topic's not about the several similarities between world of warcraft and runescape, but what would happen if another game was merged into runescape now.

For example, if WoW and RS merged together to create a game called World of RuneScape, how would it play? Well we'd have instances for one, which is probably the best part of WoW altogether. Imagine a well thought out dungeon which you'd need a team of 10 players to get through, fighting hordes of kalphite warriors to get to the central nest, destroy the kalphite eggs and then slay the queen. Epic quests instead of "kill this monster X times and collect X teeth", but, we've heard all this world of runescape crap before and it's been said for too long, let's be a little more creative.

So, what games do you think would be interesting if merged into RuneScape? Halo? What would the outcome be like? How would a Super Mario themed runescape play? Would these changes make runescape better than it is now? Why? There are hundreds of possibilities, use your imagination

One thing I've always wanted to be incorporated into Runescape is a Rakion-type battle system. For those who don't know, the battling in Rakion is done completely by keyboard shortcuts with many different keys for a variety of different attacks that can be executed (I did an Informer article on it once). Specials take longer than regular attacks but are stronger, and after a certain amount of kills you can go into Chaos mode where you cannot be knocked down and all your attacks are a good amount stronger.

This would be hard to put into Runescape, but it would definitely make the game better. It would make the combat system a lot more challenging than just your usual old click attack, click eat, etc. It adds some sort of feeling I guess into the game, because you have to constantly be on your toes when in combat, especially in PvP combat. You can no longer just watch your little pixel character run automated attacks, instead you're the one executing the commands at times you want to and defending at times you want to.

The Elder Scrolls V: RuneScape.

Would be interesting graphic wise and play-wise. I wouldn't mind RS with HD graphics and first person playing. TES is also more strategic and challenging.

The Sims: Runescape

Harvest some food for breakfast and cook it up. Get ready to go to work slaying dragons. Get home and call the sandwich lady over for some dancing. It could happen.

The only thing they could do really to make RuneScape like the other games out there (and still be RuneScape) is to have the gameplay be more like Guild Wars or WoW (much larger maps, more keyboard controls to memorise, hideable interfaces, possibly full screen play, and better graphics too.

Honestly I wouldn't mind playing RS like that, but I have Guild Wars and my computer is so crappy I have to run everything on the lowest detail setting to get even halfway decent play out of it, else I'm lagging like crazy.

GrandTheftScape would be epic.
As a newbie you: steal sheep for envious farmers, fail at bank raids, and hit on female players.
As a more advanced player you: rob shops at night, steal magical carpets, and work for corrupted Varrock guards.
As a 99-level you: make dangerous potions from dangerous herbs, raid villages, bribe Al-Kharid officials, and pollute fountains.
All the criminal fun that you could ever get in a medieval world.
