It looks nice, but it needs depth.

Look at the rooftops of the houses. They merge with the ocean. Use a soft burn brush on the ocean touching the houses. Then try to use a VERY light blur tool (starting at the rooftops) and work your way up, getting less blurred the closer you get to the lighthouse.

You can make the houses darker and blur them some. Just depends on what you want to be the center of the peice.

Other than that it's perfect. It just needs depth ;)

I don't understand, how do you mean?

Well, when you look at something the things you're not looking at become blurred. That's partially what gives makes life 3D. In your picture everything is the exact same sharpness. It looks like you basically just threw it all together, instead of looking like a real snapshot.

It's mainly where the ocean and houses meet, though. They just look like they're on the same plain.

Forgive me, I'm not trying to be rude..but I still don't get what you mean. When I look at something, the things surrounding it aren't blurred O.o The houses and water ARE technically on the same plane as well (the plane being the ground). I don't understand how I'm supposed to use a soft brush to make things blurry or what.. If you like, you can illustrate what you mean on the image.

lol, it's just really hard to explain. When you make 'landscape' manips you have to burn/sponge/blur what you don't want the people to look at, or what isn't really the center of the peice. That's what i'm saying. It gives it perseption.

Here, i burned some areas and blurred them slightly to show what i mean:

I really like what you did with the crows, but there's something about the blurring that just doesn't look right to me. I guess it's a difference of opinion. What I guess I could try doing is softening up up the waves by using the smudge tool and then fading the effect a little.

I'll work on it a little bit later, thanks for the tip.

Amzing consistent theme.

I really like how you made the sky empty; perhaps you can use it as a book cover/movie poster/etc.
