my stupid school blocks every single site that even mentions the word game. and i dont know how to get by it becuz the technology is so old. we have 95's at our school lol. the last time i used a 95 was at uhh school. :lol:

but outside of school, like 6 years ago

you could just dl a program called knoppix, its meant so u can try linux without installing it, it boots off a cd, and it loads on the ram, if theres not enough ram it uses hard drive space to create virtual ram, and when u shut down all traces of anything disappear, i dont think it has java, but im pretty sure it has flash so u can at least play on like addictinggames.com and 2flashgames.com

Well, I wouldn't go against rules and play it if it's blocked on a different way. Best thing to do is ask a teacher.

I visit a help site that is not blocked at my school, which even blocks websites for 'high bandwith' not to mention games and the like.

I would tell you the website, but I am not aware of the advertising rules in this forum, so I will keep from doing it until I know them.

wow I didn't know so many places had compys.. er, wait, do yall just have a lotta time in your computer labs????

aah im confused... we've got computer labs of desktop computers (not to be confused with laptop computers), but no one uses them...

every high and middle school kid gets an ibook. to take home, to use whatever, you know what I mean. weve got really good bandwith here, lol like a wireless cable internet connection in every room. problem is, theyve got runescape blocked, same thing for yalll yes?

well, weve been finding (making possibly:wink:) our own little things to get around that block...

anyone ever heard of a proxy? you can make many different versions of them, CGIProxy, PHProxy, etc. What these do is hide your IP adress mainly, along with other things to annonomus-ize you. it pretty much lets you surf the web undectected; annonomus (sorry if I spelled that wrong, can't ever get it right =\ )

I dunno if your schools have already found out about them yet or not, try some of these if you like. sorry i got lazy, didn't put em all in url link.

i go on runescape at school all the time

all i do is right click the mouse and then click refresh over and over and thats how i get past the block

The your school filter pretty sucks..

I've tried many times to bypass the stupid filter, and I can never get it to work. I've even tried to install Circumventor, but since I need to install it on my home computer, that won't even work cuz of my stupid Firewall.
