SS is now legal again. The only reason it was illegal was because it hid the ads on f2p servers. But now that Strider is back from vacation he fixed that problem, and SS loads the banners when you are playing on Free servers. Don't know why there are so many SS haters here, it's not hurting you guys, and heck it still is a great program. I find it extremely useful when rune mining in heros guild and im server hoppin all over the place.

so please change that, your giving the wrong impression to people. SS is now legit.

and it doesnt block off all the adds.. but where is the post from andrew or someone from jagex saying that is its legal again, until i see a pic im not gonna believe it

When you load up SS, on the "homepage" so to speak, it says he spoke with Andrew and version 1.33 is fine

think about it SS is just a browser made for people who won't click 4 or 5 clicks, won't waste about 5 seconds transfer world(when it's 35 sec transfer anyways)

well it is legit if jagex endorse it and can be downloaded from the rs official site. but as it is, jagex IS NOT endorsing any third party client. besides, you are risking yourself to getting hacked. it is only Strider's words, not an official statement from andrew gower.

besides, world select is now available on the official rs client.

Why be so dam lazy?

Well first of all I have a slow computer. And 5 seconds of clicking for you amounts to about 30sec of loading time for me, before i even start loading the RS client. The ability to just click also greatly increases my rune mining times, which a few seconds can mean the ability to get or not get your ore.

Ok, maybe legit was the wrong word, I mean to say NOT ILLEGAL. Yes jagex's rule says 'They do not endorse any third party clients, as they may contain trojans or keyloggers, and if you get hacked they are not to blame'. Yet if you get hacked period, jagex will never take blame, they just simply say "Your computer wasn't secure, use better firewall, anti virus and anti spyware."

So yes you can use it at your own risk, BUT JAGEX WILL NOT BAN YOUR ACCOUNT FOR USING IT. So I think the Global announcement in RS BandB should be changed according to new found information.

It's not breaking any rules, therefore it is legal to use. at your own risk.
