Runescape Bits & Bytes Official Chat Guide

Some of you know i made IRC chat for rs bits and bytes. To join it you either need SS, mIRC or you can use the Java applet on our main page by clicking Chat on the navigation bar. When you get those the name is rsbandb.
If your using mIRC you will have to type /j rsbandb
If your using SS you will have to type #rsbandb.
If you are using the Java Applet please just enter a user and password and then follow instructions as stated below. In the reply by Shane.

Information:

Server: irc.irchat.tv
Channel: #rsbandb

Well some people are scared of getting hacked / keylogged by using SS.
So here is a guide with how top get onto chat with mIRC.

Step one:
Go to http://www.mirc.com and download the program.

Step two:
Install the program.

Step three:
Some thing like this should pop up

Fill it out..
Click the servers button..

It wil not actually have Swift switch as a sever so go to add..
Type is these options:

Now click connect to server..
It should connect, and as usual identify
/msg nickserv identify <pass>
Then to join our chat type /j rsbandb
And if u have any ?'s you can join /j help.

How To Install;

Double click the downloaded file to launch the installation.

---Click Next---

---Check The Agree Radio Button---

---Unless Your One Of Those Retards Who Have More Than One Hard Drive Then Click Next---

How To Use;

---Doube click the short cut placed on your desktop---

---Choose your game (Play RS)---

---Maximize The Window---

***If you cannot see all the rows of buttons then alter your screen resoloution***

---Choose Your World And Quality---

How To Use Chat;

---Click The Show Chat Button---

---In The NickName Field Type Your RS Nick---

---In The Channel Type #rsbandb

---Click Connect---

***To register your nickname follow these steps***

Once you have loaded the chat you will need to type exactly what i say, unless otherwise.

Once in the #legendslegion channel type;

Code:
/msg nickserv register <pass> <email>


***Change <pass> to your password***
***Change <email> to your email***

Example;

Code:
/msg nickserv register 123456 you@yourdomain.com


You should get a message as follows;

NickServ › Nickname <Your Nickname> registered under your account: <A Long Funk Address Which Contains Your IP>
Your password is <your password> - remember this for later use.


Now when ever you load up chat REMEMBER to type;

Code:
/msg nickserv identify <pass>
