RuneScape Suggestion

Ever get a private message that ended up being to long to read it all (I know you can just turn split screen on), or ever try to type something that ended up being to long so you had to make two messages in order to type what you wanted to? Well this is my suggestion. I think Jagex should make some sort of scroll bar going from side to side near the bottom on the chat box. It would eliminate the problem I've mentioned above. I've included a visual example of the suggestion (now it doesn't have to neccessary look like that. It's just the idea that counts).

Hmm, it seems like a good idea, but can't see Jagex doing this anytime soon. They're too busy digging ditches.

+1 supporter if you post this on rs forums, I think its a good idea because then you don't have to worry about typing long messages either. But I suggest on the top of the chat box, not the bottom, though it doesn't really matter.

Or have lines that are to long go down another line paragraph style, like the forums does with post

I think something like this is needed... But I rather it wrap the text.

If it is done, and done they way you have demonstrated, I would rather it just have the two scroll buttons without the scroll bar. It takes up too much room in my opinion.

Blah, forgot to blur his name on the chat window, ugh. As much as I hate mentioning his name here since he wouldn't like it, but he is a very good and kind friend of mine. I met him on rs a while ago, and I think he's one of the best mod out there to be honest.

Okay. I made two new visual examples and I think they're pretty good.

1. So, here's the first example. Just a taritional scroll bar on the bottom for scrolling left to right. It's out of the way, doesn't hide any messages, and is easy to use.

2. Here is the second example, which suggests a different example. This includes double lined messages as shown below.

Second one with more then two lines, atleast 5 or so. But have something so people can't go >

And making annoying spam lines that clutter the message box.

I like the idea, but elimate the Chatbar idea, and add in the Ingame messages. 2 Lines Above you, and 3s, and 4s, would be nice. Even tho, there would be alot of lag in merchant places, due to alot of yellow letters... and colored letters... and glowing.. and flashing.. and wavey... :shock:

It is a good idea but like what someone said earlier jagex will either ignore it or not have the time to do it.

It doers seem like a good idea, but like others have said, I don't think Jagex will do anything about it.
