I am highly against charities which help the homeless, drug addicts, prostitutes, anything like that. Any charity that helps people who have got themselves into a mess does not deserve to have my money, or anyone's money, ever. I hate it when people take pity on the homeless - 99% of the time they have got themselves in that position. They can get themselves out of it.

Charities that help with heart disease, cancer, etc, if I knew my money was going towards that, they might just get some of that money, but I know for a fact it is not. A friend of mine's uncle is the head of a very prominent charitable organisation of this kind, and he earns a salary of £120k a year (~240,000 USD).

That, and I think my money is my money. I would like to buy a new computer with my money, as well as many other things. Why should I waste it paying for some CEO's salary or a charity's advertising?

I agree with Ryan and Creepy. If we donate to other countrys, does it help us out at all?

If you go to any charity, you'll see something like marble-plated floors, or countertops. I bet you anything.

There was a "Idol gives back" fundraiser on TV the other night, and they raised $30 Million dollars for children in poverty in Africa. It's all probbaly going to be traded for some drugs or something like that.

My father asked everyone to give to charity this year for his birthday. I gave £30.

Other than that it's a fiver to comic relief if they come to my door. Nothing else.

My local Oxfam got refurbished, everything is 100% new and nearly untouched. The same probably goes for all charity shops across the world.

I must admit though, these people seem extremely lucky in their business, charity shops could be up an abandoned street and people would still go there and donate/buy things.

.People donate to adults/children in Africa and other ontries because those people work incredibly hard for long lengths of time for little money, just because there is no other place to go that costs nothing to get to, they need charities to give enough money to them to get a decent job with fair pay that gets them clean water and food...Thats why people donate to countries like Africa, and such. The only reason they don't give back is usualy because of the rulers of that country, they are the people who need to be replaced for a bright future of their former country,

No.

No income, no reason, no benifits.
