Need Clue help not with the clue, but with the chart..

I got this clue about co-ordinate when I acciendtly fight a guard..
And it led me to the waterfall area..
I was starting to pack my stuff and get ready to go, I found out I need a sextant, watch , and chart.
The probelm is I can't get a chart..
When I talk to the professor at the obsorvatory, my only option was to say if I got the planks for him(I'm in the middle of the ovservatory quest).
I didn't even have any option to ask help for clue like you guys would normally have. So is my only option to finish the dumb quest where I have to make that glass?..Or there is some other way I can get the chart..

Note: I had my clue scroll with me while asking for the chart.

Some one please help me..Guess I'll have to do that dumb quest..

it's not that dumb...just depends on the reward...

The dumb part is that I have to make the glass.pretty annoying..

Anyways, I finished the quest and I'm about to start my lvl 2 clue.=)

I can't say it is great, but at least good for my first time..

Addy plate trimmed is something like 100k i think(i think).

dude i just get crappy lvl 2 clues like the best clue i got was : addy legs 145 earth runes yew long and brown head band man like treasure trails hate me i have done over 25 in the past 2 weeks and still nothing better than 1 addy dagger but no no addy (t) or (g) or wissy boots ya i got to do lvl 3 clues but i want full blk and add (T) sets
