Ya ya ill post chapter 5 later..
Table Of contents
Chapter 1 - Introduction
Chapter 2 - 0-100k
Chapter 3 - Money from combat
Chapter 4 - Money from skills
Chapter 5 - Merchanting

Chapter 1 - Introduction

- All the methods in this guide can make you rich
- No matter what your status (Poor, f2p, broke) You can become rich
- Don't quit! Quitters don't earn anything

Before you can earn alot of money, you must first decide what you want to earn this money for. If you start blindly with no plan, you will probably not accomplish much - Or you will quit before you have completed your goal.

Runescape operates on an economy like the real world. Just like the real world the rich get richer and the poor stay poor.

Ask your self, Who are the richest people, Is it the guy who is building houses, doing manual labor? Is it the fisher, lumberjack? Is it the soldier? No. The rich person is the one who OWNS the coal mine, logging company, the rich are those who are not employed to other people doing manual labor.

Being a high level in runescape does not guarantee money! Many players have no plan on how to make there living, let alone keep it.

Chapter 2 - Minimum Money (0-100k)

You need money to make money, but if you are totally broke this section is for you. Maybe your a new player, maybe your not, this section is for you.

Sell Everything!!! Unless the item is a rare, the price will probably go down so in the long run you win by doing this. Only keep the items you absolutely need.

A good place to start making money is by merchanting lobsters. Either fish them, or buy them and sell them. Bring all your money and go to port sarim. Talk to a seamen and ask him to take you to karamja.

As soon as you are there, go to the general store and buy lobsters from it (if there are any). If you don't have enough money then pick bananas for the guy in the hut (do this until you have about 2000gp). Now pay 30gp and go back to port. Go to draynor bank, then repeat this process. Selling lobbies isn't hard, especially in edgeville where the pkers are.

25 Lobsters = 3,250gp (or around that)
25 lobsters SOLD for 250ea = 6,250gp

That's almost 100% profit! Some other great general store purchases are

Item NameStore CostStreet Cost
Uncut Sapphire31gp300gp
Uncut Emerald51gp400-500gp
Uncut Diamond201gp5000gp
Rune Essence5gp35gp
Cow Hides2g100gp
Coal57200

If you don't feel like doing this, my final method for this section will be mining rune essence. Even at level 2 you can do this!!! Don't bring food, don't wear armor, (wear boots of lightness if you have them), Mine 1k ess and sell it for around 30-35k. This should NOT take long! If you do not wish to sell your ess. You can be a runner for other people, just check the forums.

Chapter 3 - Money from combat

Combat does not earn money as fast, but ill list it anyway. I don't need to explain so I'm just going to table these.

NPCItemPrice
ChickenFeathers5-10Ea
CowCowhide100ea
Dark WizardsRunesPrice varies

One of the most popular monsters in F2P is the hill giants. These monsters are level 28 and drop big bones (350each), steel items, limp roots etc. Collect bones and any good extra drops. The higher level you get the less food you will use, and the more money you can make.

One you are 70+ combat, go back to karamja and head to the volcano dungeon. Its time to fight lesser demons! Pick up the coins, armor drops, and rune med helms. If your magic is 55 bring natures to alchemy the armor drops. If your fishing level is 40, bring a lobbie pot, axe and tinderbox so you wont have to leave karamja.

At 80+ combat or so you should go to green dragons. Green dragons are in many locations, and drop decent rewards. Watch out for pkers when you fight these and remember your anti dfire shield. For each kill you will get dragon bones and green dragon hide (plus a random item). The bones and hides alone can be up to 4k a kill. Dragons can also drop level 3 clue scrolls!.

NPCLevelAverage $ Per Kill
Green Dragon794000gp
Blue Dragon1115500gp
red Dragon1526500gp
Black Dragon2276500gp
Bronze Dragon*1313500gp
Iron Dragon*1894000gp
Steel Dragon*2494500gp

*Have a chance of d legs or d skirt

As you can see, dragons can make a good profit. If you don't want to kill these lets look at something else, the fire giants. I advise the ones in the room from the waterfall quest. I recommend using a halberd to save food. Just block the giants with the table in the middle room. Fire giants drop fire runes, rune scimis, big bones and more. These are great for levels 65+

Chapter 4 - Money from skills
Why doesn't this section have much detail? Because there are alot of guides like this...

Rune Crafting - Get 44 rune crafting, bring 1000 noted ess and 5000gp to karamja (and a nature talisman). Sell your ess to the general store 25 at a time and buy it back, walk to the alter and craft your runes then repeat. 1000 nature runes is 300k! The other methods would be running ess for people (that way you can do it at any level). This would be the best money, search the runes forum for law or nature companies.

Mining - Pure ess in members world is probably the fastest money from mining. I won't go into this much as i have already covered it, just sell the pure ess for 110ea. (It mines just as fast as regular ess). The only other alternative would be smithing steel bars or mining rune ore if you are high enough.

Smithing - Making steel bars. Buy iron ore 100each, and coal 250each. Smelt the steel bars and sell for 550ea. That's 200gp profit per bar. That's over 200k per 1000. You can also make cannon balls with your steel bars, these sell for 200 each. That's 800gp per bar, a profit of 450 per bar you made!

Crafting - Buy flax 100ea, make bow strings and sell for 200ea. At higher levels making dragon hide armor and alching it can be good. Crafting is pretty self explanatory.

Fletching - One of the simplest skills for making money. Here you want to make yew longs. Buy the logs 300-310each, bow strings 200ea, Sell the bows for 600each. Later you can do magic longs which sell for 1300-1400each.

Chapter 5 - Merchanting

The best way to make money in runescape. Merchanting is buying items cheaply and selling them at a higher price. When merchanting make sure to use the forums!

Selling items for slightly less then the average street price is a good idea because your items will sell faster - no one is going to buy overpriced stuff. Ask the customer if they need more in the future, if yes, then you found a permanent buyer! Which will make selling alot easier.

When buying the items that you will be reselling, look for things such as bank sales. People who are just clearing there bank and selling items they don't need will probably give you a better price. For example, if someone has a bank sale and is selling a rune pick (worth about 25k) offer them 18k for it. Sell your items on the forums.

Don't get desperate when you sell your items! You will just lower the price and loose money. An important part of merchanting is not being rude to customers, if someone doesn't offer the price you want be polite, because they might offer more a second time.

Sell items that have a strong supply and demand. Such as runes, arrows, armor, logs, etc. Buy wisely, study the prices for a week. Do not buy items that can only go down, such as treasure trail rewards. Some of my favorite items to buy are cannon balls, nature runes, and iron arrows.

- Don't buy items you aren't familiar with
- Always buy items cheaply
- Buy rares if possible

The ways to make alot of money are to get a permanent supplier AND buyer. Lets take nature runes for example, If you find a perm. supplier selling to you for 300each and a perm. buyer buying for 320each you just have to middle man in between the two people and you can make very fast money. There's a couple of things I recommend merchanting,

Item NameBuying PriceSelling Price
Cannon Balls180ea200ea
Iron Arrows20ea25ea
Unid. Herbs700ea1000ea

As you can see, the profits can be huge if you are buying 10k+ at a time of these items. Buying these items in members and selling in free to play is also a good idea, as f2p tend to pay more. Sometimes in f2p you can find workers, you can go to newbs and ask them if they want to earn money. Most of them will say yes, tell them to collect cow hides for you and trade you every time they have 100. Offer them around 30each, If you have enough workers you will get alot of items in no time. Sell them for 100each when you have about 1000. Finding permanent suppliers can be applied to almost any item.

I'm getting kind of tired of seeing money making guides but this one is actually pretty good.

C&C:
1. You said level 2 for mining essence (it's level 3)
2. Not a big deal but it gets on my nerves when people spell a lot without spaces =P
3. You are better off with killing Hill Giants for Big Bones then you are with going to Lessers, better off just waiting until you can kill Dragons before you leave Hills.
4. Got 1 or 2 [/] in their.

For the most part it is a really good guide, the best money making one I have seen since most of them are just merchanting.

This is one of the major things that frustrates me, almost no one ever produces a complete guide. It's okay but a bit basic.

You may want to note that if you want to merch you have to have a good timezone, I find it nearly impossible since I can only get on at peak times during the weekends.
