I have some color brochures I need to save to a CD to print out at school, because I'm almost out of colored ink. When I am in Windows Explorer, and trying to drag my 3 files into the D:/ drive, this message pops up:

It's a blank CD-R. Does Windows not pick up CD's with no data on it? Please help.

It's been in a tightly sealed, close case.

I just bought a case of them, so they're empty.

I'm starting to think you can only burn stuff onto CD's, instead of saving to them.

with windows you can only burn: Files that aren't open by a program (when you do -> , and you have to copy/paste or drag/drop them into the drive folder ..

Right Click the drive. Go to Properties. Click Recording. Click Enable CD Recording on this drive. Choose a speed one or two less than the max speed you see on that dropdown. Click OK.
