Welcome to the Cannoneer's Handbook! If you have had a cannon for several years, or if you have just attained one, this should be a good read for you. If you think you know everything there is to know about cannons, I still suggest you look at this. It will tell you where to train, where not to train, some other cool stuff, and how to not be hated amongst the non-cannon trainers.
~TABLE OF CONTENTS~
Section One - Getting a Cannon Section Two - Getting the Ammunition Section Three - Using Your Cannon Section Four - Interesting Facts Section Five - Q&A
[Section One - Getting a Cannon]
In order to purchase or use a Dwarf Multicannon, you have to complete the Dwarf Cannon quest. After that, you can use an Ammo Mould to make your own cannonballs. Cannon parts sell for around 200k each in Nuludions shop, but you can talk to him and buy the entire works for only 750k. Players sell for a lot cheaper. I suggest taking 550k to World 2 Falador and hanging around the central east side of the park. I've seen tons of people selling for 450k-550k. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T GET SCAMMED!! There's a Cannon Base, Stand, Barrel, and furnace. When buying, study the 2nd screen carefully.

[Section Two - Getting the Ammunition]
Obviously, a cannon is harmless if it doesen't have big steel balls to fire at stuff. That's where the Ammo Mould comes in!! For every 4 cannonballs, you need 1 steel bar. You can buy your own cannon ammo from players, they're around 140-160 gp each. I suggest making them at Port Phasamatys, as there is a furnace right across the street from the bank, thus making a lot of ammo in a short time. Make sure you have your Ghostspeak Amulet on for easy banking. Have the Ammo Mould and steel bars in your inventory. Use the steel bar on the furnace, right click the bar on the screen, and press "Make All". When you have 108 Cannonballs, bank, and withdraw more bars. Please note, making 4 cannonballs takes a while.

[Section Three - Using Your Cannon]
Now that you have that boring junk taken care of, it's time to bring out the heavy artillery! These things give insane Ranged experience, and are also extremely fun. Some good places to use cannons are Rock Crabs, Lighthouse basement Dagganoths, Fire Giants inside the Waterfall, and the Neitiznot Yaks. I prefer Yaks, because there is never a shortage. These are good training spots for other non-cannon using rangers, mages, and meleers, and usually they are there before you are. If you set up the cannon while they are training, and take their monsters, a fight will break out, and usually people get muted/banned. Also, people call you noobs, threaten to report you (lol...), etc. Now most people don't like that, so I suggest hopping worlds until you find a world that is deserted. If you can't find one of those worlds, (a rare circumstance) then ask everyone if you can set up a cannon. Asking permission is a lot better than just being a jerk and setting it up. To set it up, first set up the Cannon Base. Then use the Stand on the Base, then the Barrel, and finally the Furnace. Use the cannonballs on the cannon, and then it will take 30, and automatically start firing at all monsters in the area. When it has no more ammo, it will stop, and you will get a message.
Use the ammo on it, and it will start firing again. After some time, you will get a message saying your cannon is about to decay.
Pick it up, and set it back up again.
The higher your Ranged level is, the higher and more accurate the damage will be.
[Section Four - Interesting Facts]
-You can host cannon parties, by having a lot of people set up multiple cannons! The best place for this is Edgeville or East Falador. Set up the cannon, run to Nulodion and get a new cannon, set that up, go back, etc.
-Your cannon will always face north.
-If your cannon decays, or you die/lag out while it is set up, you can go back to Nulodian and get a new one for free!
-A lot of noobs don't know what a cannon is. Amuse them by setting up a cannon in the middle of a bank! XD
-A cannon takes up 9 squares in a 3x3 grid. You can't set it up if there are objects in the way.
-Make sure to set it up in a place where the cannonballs can reach every monster.
-Cannons can hit mulitple enemies in non-multi combat areas!!! Except if you're already being attacked...
-Cannons can also hit the same monster you are fighting if you're in a multi-combat zone!
-You can sometimes hit an enemy 2 times at once.
-You can only kill NPC's.
