Whenever I put a url on offsite avatar it says the url of the remote avatar is invalid. So I can't get a new avatar.

Most sites don't allow hotlinking (loading of images from your server to someone elses site) [ex: pic @ andy0.com, and you place in on your page, i have hotlink protection so it wouldn't show]
