Elder Scroll IV: Oblivion Quest Glitch!!!

I'm having some serious problems with the Mages Guild quest Vahtacen's Secret. Whenever I go down into the tomb and get to the point with the pressure pad with the three doors the pressure pad never works and the doors never open. Then, when i re-load the game the two doors are already open but the pressure pad still doesn't work and I can't get to the next area which means I can't possibly complete the quest. If anyone has the game and experienced this glitch and got thorugh it could you please tell me how?? ](*,)

I've never had that problem before.

The only problem I had during that quest was finding the Damage Magika spell for the pillar.

That game has seriously messed up on me so much i've just quit playing it for now, i'll come back to it when i'm bored out of my mind with nothing else worth doing. lol

It's the only problem I've had but it's terrible since I can't do any of the other mage Guild quests and I can't make Black Soul Gems for the Vaermina Daedric Shrine quest. I can't wait for Shivering Isles Expansion to be released so I can have abunch of new quests to do...

If you have it for 360, you should buy the Nine Divines expansion. It costs like 800 or 900 Microsoft points, but has new quests, armor, and weapons.
Well worth it, in my opinion.

I can't wait for Shivering Isles aswell, I want something else to do. xD

Really is a shame...

I remember how bugged and glitched Morrowind was, I thought they would've put a bit more effort into this one.

Ehh..to be fair, a game of that size, has to have glitches. It's freaking huge, the stuff going on in the background must be pretty complex to.

But yeah, the amount of stuff i've come across is really..just..annoying, you'd think they'd have tested the main quests a lot to stamp them all out..but that mostly seems to be where i find them, lol.
