I'm debating whether to switch to making Cannon Balls once I get 85 smithing...so someone help me!

I'm currently smelting Iron ores with ROF's and then making Iron Knives. But making Cannon Balls out of Steel bars sounds like a faster process, I dunno.

Oh! And you can also just vote in my poll I made on my Goals Thread.

I would have to say Iron Knives. If i'm correct you get 25 exp for every iron bar you smith into knives. And I'm not entirly sure but I also think you get 25 exp for every Cannonball you make. However the process of making cannonballs is fairly slow. Compared to Iron Knives that is. However... You might get lucky and sell the cannonballs for 200 each. If you've the luck you'll get richer in the process compared to Iron Knives. And with more money you can buy more gold ore so that you can get your smithing higher in less time. (Gold bars give more experience than a rune bar, when using the correct gloves). Hoped that helped.

I smith Iron Knives by the way. Got 39k Iron ore on my bank and 8k iron bars.

Good luck with your goal!

I'd have to say Iron knives too, its much faster and you're only using one kind of ore in the process.

I have done both, and iron knives are better. C balls take a long time.

I actually haven't sold any yet, but 40 each is what I'm gonna try for.

I'll ask for this thread to be locked now, question answered.
