How do I upload animations?

Ok, I made a .gif animation, but when I try uploading it, it stays as a single image. How can I get it as an animation?

what program did you used to make the animation?

i always use imageready, then save as gif, then upload at http://www.imageshack.us. try to upload there and see if it works.
